It's interesting that as the world has largely moved on from God; declaring him dead and started to bow down to the idols of the false gods materialism, scientism and the work of their own hands, it's no wonder that everyone just does what is right IN THEIR OWN EYES.

It's interesting that people say they will believe in nothing they can't see with their own eyes. No discernment, just outrageous pride.

It's interesting, that the nations that have brought about this modern, technological age largely, currently/used to display crosses on their flags of their respective nations or declared themselves under God.

It's interesting that the Judaeo/Christian west is the one who won the game of "Civilization" and brought about the world in which we now live, because they bowed to the One True God, if not all in spirit, but in culture.

It's interesting that as the West has abandoned The Truth, we've become decadent, perverse and abhorrent in judgment.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 spells it out well.

"1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

It's no surprise for those who love The Truth.

Hell was made for the devil and his angels. Not for man. God doesn't send people to hell. They send themselves when they proudly assume they know what the truth is and refuse to seek out The Truth.

The Truth is a person. This person has a name, other than, 'The Truth'. He is also called 'the Way' and 'the Life' and it is written that no man comes to the Father, but by this person. This person died for you and wants to give the gift of grace. Not by works, but by the Grace of God. Have faith in that and this person, and you SHALL BE SAVED. By FAITH ALONE!

He has many names, even Yeshua Ha'Mashiach. You may know Him, as Jesus the Christ.

I'm a sinner too. BEWARE THE TRADITIONS OF MEN and join me in repentance today!

Forgive the nostalgia; however, I remember in the 80s, I went into Toys 'R Us and seeing this NES game Nobunaga's Ambition for $70!!! (remember, this is the 80s we're talking about!) My thought was...."wow, that must be a great game to cost that much!!! " Well after saving up with paper route money, I finally rode my bike to the store and bought it. My brother thought I was crazy.......but then we played it!

WOW. Endless days playing this game. Even my brother was swayed. When the SNES and Nobunaga's Ambition II came out, it was a no brainer. Years later, I then left home and hadn't played it since.

I then saw NA Sphere of Influence on steam and wondered. Will I love it again?? I put it on my wish list and waited for the Summer Sale and bought it!

Review:

This game is outstanding. However, don't compare it to Shogun:TW. The setting is the same, but the gameplay isn't. This game is more akin to playing Crusader Kings with a dash of total war battle mini-game.

The beauty of this game is the ability to plan on the overmap with vassals and retainers exactly how you'll invade territory. You can set routes of march for each independent army, set which provinces will support the other, order vassals to provide support to specific units etc and then hit "end turn" and watch your plan unfold. If you need to adjust your plan; you pause, make changes and go again. It's very well done. The graphics for the units on the overland map are just like the graphics used in the Japanese TV series AOI Tokugawa Sandai. Youtube it. You'll see. @ 5 Minutes, 39 Seconds and 8m 45s

Though the game may seem daunting at first, it really is picked up rather quickly if you have a taste for grand strategy. You can micromanage every single castle, or designate provinces, assign regents and set the more tedious funtions of government to be delegated to your retainers. You can set a policy which is conservative, progressive or neutral. You can also set focus on Agriculture, Military or Crafts (commerce)

The game also has these intermissions with slide show animations about historical events that took place during the time, giving you, at least, a basic understanding of the situation in Japan at the time. It's great for the history minded, though are easily skipped if you prefer to.

You can create your own officers. Create your own clan. Form alliances. Absorb tribes, dominate vassals. Appeal to the Emperor for titles. It's ALL THERE.

If you love strategy and especially, if you love the history of Japan. This game is a no brainer.

Do yourself a favor and get it. Play the admittedly, boring tutorial. Then play on easy for a bit to get the hang of it. Really, there is a lot to do, but the game will prompt you when things need to get done. Once you see how it is done, you delegate to your retainers. Once you figure that out, (which doesn't take long) it's really easy to start dreaming big about how you'll become Sei-i Taishōgun!!!!!

Heeeet Heeeet Hoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! No one comes to the Father but by Him!
Repent, believe and be saved. It is the truth!

Hey, I saw you playing Scholar of the First Sin -edition of Dark Souls II one day. How have you liked in comparison to the original? I've been thinking of buying either DLC or SotFS, but I'm not sure whether I'd like some of the differences coming with the SotFS...

Hah, good luck then mate, I think you're going to need it! I found the default bindings quite unorthodox and got back to using a pad instead. Just feels like a natural choice for this game.

Indeed. The game seems fine. I'm a KB&M guy, so having to learn a new control scheme from DS1 PC, but beyond that and a slight mouse click input lag, the game is great!

This is... Dark Souls! Best achievement in the game ever, heh. How is PC-version working in your case? Some people have reported quite a bit of issues, I've had none so far...
