As mentioned in the thread - there are many usb's that gtav isn't friendly with including other 3rd party software/sound devices/mics/soundcards. Some users can get around it by updating their windows/usb drivers/using ones from mobo supplier, updating audio/mic drivers, changing what kind of usb port it is plugged into, etc. YMMV obviously. Some other things like logitech headphones needed older drivers - so something to test too. Didn't look up what is avail, but that is what I'd start with. Especially if enabling it activates more than a single device in devicemanager.
