My god, a 2025 game that doesn't work like its running on a potato.

Dying light: The Beast, is the third instalment in the dying light series, and once more stars Kyle Crane, the protagonist from the original series.

I won't spoil the plot cause this game is great. It ran smoothly on launch without any crashing issues. The only issue I encountered was that sometimes the day/night cycle got stuck, ie daytime with the night time volatiles running around.

That has apparently been patched as of writing this though the evs are being vigilant in case that bug is not smushed.

The new castor woods locale is fun to explore, with a town that requires rooftop navigation down to a open area like dying lights DLC, the following, complete with ranger suv's to drive.

Crane handles smoothly be he parkouring through the sky like an angry spiderman or dicing or bashing zombies with the nice selection of melee weapons.

The missions I've gotten my hands on so far were fun and I swear I saw some familiar characters in the intro.

To those of you who brought the dying light 2: ultimate edition, you will have gotten this game for free as well like myself.

This game takes the best bits from the previous games with hardly any of the problems so its definitely worth your time.

Now come on in and enjoy the woods and their bitey inhabitants...

How this hasn't won any rewards on steam baffles me...this game is FUN...FUN I SAY...even more fun with a bunch of pals

EA, take notes. This is the sort of RTS we want, not another mobile game. This game sat on my wishlist for years and I'm happy to say its what I've always wanted

Both campaigns are fun and, after years of EA thinking that all we want is C&C on mobile (apart from the remastered collection), this is a wonderful return to the classic base builder RTS's.

Please, if you see this slipgate Ironworks and 3D Realms, I want more of this game...it needs more...more campaign in the form of expansions...and I can hardly wait for the veti campaign.

Does this game have its issues? Yes, the servers sometimes boot you to the clients login due to server connection time outs randomly and the lock boxes are complete kinder eggs.

However, its also fun...alot of fun. If you're a trekkie, you'll fall in love with this game like I did years ago, back before it even came to steam, back when it was only using Arc games own in-house launcher and accounts.

Its got a surprising number of star trek actors, past and present who do voice work, ranging from the late great Leonard Nemoy to Kate mulgrew voicing the ingame version of kathrine janeway and the ships are just well done. Even the classes made specifically for the game look like they could belong and three were made canon in Star Trek: Picard.

Its perfectly possible as well to play the game without spending a dime so all you have to lose from trying it is your time. Give it a try and experience the final frontier with everyone else.

Do not buy. The anti-cheat system will kick you out of the game and display 2K's code of conduct page after a few minutes regardless of what you were doing, with or without systems like wemod. Juast look at the discussions and lee the growing laundry list of crashes.

The zone...just as I remember, where reality takes a holiday and mutant cthulu's will try to drink you to death til lyou fill them with bullets. Metro's kept my hand in but its time to dust off my old AKM and return to the noosphere. Its been 7 years, one pandemic and a war that claimed one of the devs life. This game shows the effort and care GSC has for this series...I'm enjoying every minute...you will to...so why wait?
