Great production values. A fun real time and turn based hybrid combat that really respects both modes and even rewards smart use of both. Neat equipment based magic system similar to FF7's materia system but with some extra depth. A deep world with lots of intrigue and characters that pull you in leaving you wanting to know more. All star voice cast even though it's misleading to say it is fully voiced but most important story beats are voiced. The game does have a different pacing you will spend time questing and in combat but you will also spend an equal amount of time watching story dialogues play out. The NPCs will reveal side details to the events going on in the game as well as details about the larger world if you are someone who also has to talk to every NPC. Such an amazing remake and I can't wait to play 2nd chapter when it launches.

This is an example of the standard that remasters of video games should meet. The game is old and I only ever briefly played the original but man does it manage to convey what was so special about the first one. It's a simple formula that allows you to get comfortable with the controls and game loop. This involves jumping, gliding and defeating enemies using various tactics depending on their strengths, weaknesses and patterns while going about collecting items and freeing your fellow dragons to progress. Pretty standard platforming fare including a few mild puzzle elements. Once you have it mastered it is a real blast hunting gems, chasing down eggs and rescuing the trapped dragons (who usually have something amusing or interesting to say with an occasional witty response from Spyro). I have only finished the first game end boss and still have yet to get 100% collectibles in it but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time spent. Would definitely play for 100% completion.

You can tell that great care was put into restoring every aspect of the game visually and audibly. Spyro looks great and has a very lovable personality conveyed through excellent, detailed animations and his voice actor. His enemies are given equal care with their whimsical animations and sound effects that will please as you bash and toast those that stand in your way. They may lack the strong personality of Spyro but he's our titular hero so he has to be the best. The remastered music is great and catchy with the original is usable as an option and that is a nice touch. The sound effects are good too and really give the game a charming personality as a final touch.

The levels are equally well designed and detailed as the rest of the game. I didn't find a single point in the first game where the environment looked sloppy. The levels offer a decent challenge for completionists who wish to gain all collectibles. Some are more challenging than others and will require decent mastery of Spyro's jumping and gliding abilities. Other levels will simply require some careful observation and exploration to find hidden areas to get the remaining collectibles and challenges. Difficulty should not be too frustrating as lives are easy enough to come by and you don't have to collect every single thing to at least beat the final boss and finish the game. The levels are easily accessible to finish any uncompleted objectives via the Guidebook feature of the menu instead of having to traverse the overworld.

The value of getting 3 Spyro games for the price of one is just too good to pass up especially if you never managed to play the originals. You won't find them in better form than here. During my time I don't recall any crashes (maybe one who knows) and the game is very well optimized and smooth running. Levels load very fast on an SSD when switching with the Guidebook in the menu but take longer when flying between levels via the portals. Superb value, rock solid stable, plenty of graphics customization options and good clean fun. This game easily checks all the boxes. Get this game if you love dragons, platforming, gems, explosions and setting things on fire.

Love this game have had it for a while but I keep coming back to it. Every time I play it I find something new. It's great to explore and just get lost in the world. Maybe not the strongest game in the Elder Scrolls series because I feel I will always be biased towards Morrowind but the game art and landscapes are beautifully rendered. Longevity is excellent thanks to a dedicated modding community that puts out so much content to enhance the base game visually or even completely transform aspects of it depending on how much the player desires to alter the standard experience.

Come on guys Patriarch just needs a hug.

Good game a major improvement over the first in every way. The team play feels more balanced, the perks are customizable to your play style, and the GORE-Oh sweet baby Intestinal trail Jesus-the gore is just great.

This game takes the concept introduced in Payday: The Heist to its logical progression. Stealth is now an option in most situations and it is totally up to the player and their team how to accomplish their goal. The audiovisual department is greatly improved over the first game. The sound is especially good, guns sound very loud if fired indoors and less so when firing outdoors as well as having a punchier more realistic sound than the peashooters in the first game. The skill progression system makes the game more interesting instead of it being a routine grind to the maximum level possible. Find yourself a good team of friends and get this game if you liked Payday: The Heist but wanted much more depth to your heisting.
