I'm a fan of Lumines since 2008 and I've always recommended it to everyone who like bloc puzzle games.
You move blocs of 4, with 2 different colors and have to make squares of the same colors, being erased by a timeline. If you erase enough squares, you'll start getting multipliers.
After some minutes, the "stage" changes, which means the music, the background, the colors, the sound effects and even the speed of the timeline erasing your squares.
Because Lumines is not just about being a puzzle game, it's also about the experience inspired by synesthesia, as everything illustrates the song that is being played.

I love Lumines and its soundtracks so therefore I like this version no matter what, which is the only legal version you can acquire on PC now. However, I regret a few things:
- It only has songs from the first game, making it only one Challenge. I discovered Lumines with Lumines Live, which combined content from the first 2 games, plus the Winter Challenge. We can have SO MUCH MORE to play with if the publisher decides to do it.
- Some skins look less stylish than from the previous version. Sorry, but it's a fact. However it doesn't make me refuse to play it, I just wish we had the best of the best content to play with.
- I've always found the VS mode terrible and they haven't tried a single time to better it, it's always the same and there is a reason why you NEVER heard about competitive VS for Lumines unlike Tetris or Puyo.

That being said, I always recommend Lumines, it is part of my life and I invite people to find out why.
