I'm running a Strix 1070, i7 8700K at 4 Ghz, 32 gigs of ram, installed on samsung 970 evo m.2

It runs pretty impressively on a mix of mid and low settings, I'm getting a fair 40-60 FPS in open world/town/battles, locked 30 in cutscenes on 1080p ingame res, on 1440p monitor res; in game res difference is about 9 frames between 1080 and 1440. Considering the fact I'm still running a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 1070 and still able to both play and enjoy this, makes me pretty happy. My gpu is out here sayin I'm tired boss and I'm telling that ♥♥♥♥♥, too damn bad, we finna do right by Joshua.

This even runs on my steam deck on all low settings pinging 28-50 fps. This game is not badly optimized, it's simply a product of its time and actually exceptionally optimized. The game itself? It's a straight banger.

Big FFIX vibes, big respect to Yoshi P pushing the marker on violence/traumatic and mature themes. This is a modern Final Fantasy made for OG Final Fantasy players and it's done right. It is lacking in combat strategem yes, you basically button mash with a few common sense dodges thrown in (combat is flashy af and visually pleasing yet tactically lacking), but the overall presentation makes up for that. The main thing I dislike is the lack of a true open world. But I am thoroughly fuggin pleased.

Update yo drivers, tinker with yo settings. Upgrade yo rig. It's a damn good game and in my opinion, is very forgiving.

Give Torgal pets, don't be a maidenless ♥♥♥♥.

Looks good but it's simply too tedious to enjoy. This game takes all the charm of SNES era games and ♥♥♥♥♥ on it with the absolutely disgusting tediousness of NES and third party GBA games, weird ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amalgamation of genres right there most certainly (the things people think create the charm of nostalgia and retro games presently; which was actually the parts of retro games most of us actually hated, the ♥♥♥♥ we don't actually want.) Puzzles are cool, Puzzles that require moving multiple screens on one character to do one part of the puzzle, then moving back multiple screens to change characters then move back again to add additional characters ability to puzzle, is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.

This game is basically made by people that hate themselves. They had a great idea then took a big ol fat ♥♥♥♥ on that idea. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dev masochists man. Refunded. Not a fan of games that artificially elongate their playtime through tedium. Also, tried it on sale at $9.99, drop that ♥♥♥♥ to $1.99 and I could then possibly force myself through it. Till then, no thanks Joe Boxer.

The controls are a little jank, like a PS3 game, old third person FPS style jank (Castlevania LOS, feeling jank). But I would have dealt with that. What I can't deal with is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ visuals. The color gamma and saturation is just ass.

If you need to scratch that old jank itch, cop on sale. Otherwise, ♥♥♥♥ na. Actually I tried on sale, for $15 and still refunded. So actually just na. Na fam. No good. Waste of 33 gigs. Miss me with that ♥♥♥♥. Wanted to like it, it's vampires and the wild west, but this company ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up. It's trash.

Honestly pretty pissed, I truly wanted to like it. It's a pretty simple premise ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by the most ridiculousness choices by the developers.

I dig it. I like that Rose isn't a mold using powerhouse that can annihilate anything in her way throughout the campaign. I was worried she'd be a boring op character but she's not. Took a little over 3 hours on casual, which seems a bit short but the main campaign of village also can be run through in 3 hours, there's even an achievement for it which is easy to do.

Story premise was kinda 7/10 but interactions with Michael really helped out with adding some feeling to it. I didn't care much for the twist in the final act because learning that essentially made the first two stratums meaningless filler.

Major Story Spoiler Warning-
Miranda purposely led Rose into the memory of the Megamycete network so she would give up her powers via the crystal but they dupe you with a fake crystal in the first act, then Miranda waits for you take the real crystal in the final act, which makes the first and second stratum pointless because she could have just left the real crystal in the first act at the mask puzzle; instead of waiting around while Rose collected variants to increase her power and giving her a reason to embrace the mold. Miranda could have easily won in the first act, so the story writing was good up until that threw it all out the window.

Very conflicted on Shadows of Rose being third person only. First person would have made the second stratum much more tense and challenging. Hopefully Rose becomes playable in Mercenaries with more of her power because that mold dodge is dope as phook and would be fun in Mercenaries to jump around slapping bishes up.

Barret with voice acting is all you need to know. "Duh duh duh duhh duh du duh du duhhh."

And FU to SE, for making us wait this long for the Steam release.

Yup this is mad fun. Without a doubt one of my favorite VR games. The graphics are great, the tracking is pretty good and it just does a damn good job of putting you in the world.

During a stirred herd I sat down physically near a hole in the wall of a house on the second floor just watching the little bastards tweak out, and actually felt like I was there. Just stuck, contemplating my next move.

This game really just took the original and improved in every way. The music is boppin, the art is highly improved. There is more story to the world. There are like, next to zero bugs. You've got snappy movement and a beautiful world to explore. With a highly customizable NG+ It's just dope.

A true labor of devotion. This dev team is very small if I recall correctly; only two people? But that hasn't stop them from polishing their games to sheer shine.

It's great.

I would say don't be put off by the negative Karen reviews. They essentially all boil down to two things. Idiots that want this to play like a modern game despite it obviously being a homage to GBA/SNES style games and; karens that want exactly 3/4 shot of espresso, not a full shot, not a half, if it's not exactly their way they wanna spitalk to a manager.

It's a pretty baller game that feels like playing a GBA RPG like Mana, with platforming and less forgiving enemy damage. I dig it. I really like the graphic work, it's so refreshing seeing detailed pixel art as opposed to the multitude of low effort pixel art games that are a dime a dozen on steam.

This is my favorite VR for cardio. I used to main Audioshield but PowerBeats is just a much more polished experience for playing generating workouts from my music collection, and the calorie counter is nearly on point with my Apple watch. Expert mode is pretty much perfect for a consistent intensity session.

Wear ThermaFit clothing and the sweat drips like a sauna.
