I really don't understand some of the people who says this game sucks. Yeah it's different from other Final Fantasy game style but story is great, characters are great, I enjoyed every moment of the game. Its a thumbs up from me.

This game has a horrible problem with pacing. I finished all quests, hunts and crafts in 50h but it felt like 100h, because everything wastes your time.
Wanna get quest? Talk to the NPC > cutscene > accept quest > Quest accepted animation that takes 10 sec > cutscene
Killing a monster at the end of a quest? > cutscene > fight > 10 sec animation showing fight results > cutscene > deliver quest > cutscene > 10 sec animation to show quest results > cutscene of gratitute
No joke, I started skipping every side quest dialogue and cutscene by 15h mark. There were times that I skipped about 8 cutscenes with the same NPC on the same quest. Most quests are very superficial and combat gets repetitive very early as well. It's juts: Go to place > talk > to another place > fight > deliver.

Cool action boss fights and music, but shallow quests and combat (just smash buttons into sponge enemies). Very linear, near zero exploration. Story starts interesting at first, but changes halfway through into JRPG cliche. And the worst sin of all: wastes A LOT your time on simple actions.

TLDR: Not worth the price, only buy it if it's on a big sale. Spend your money on any DMC instead.

I want to like this game. I do. I'm not the first person to say this but the highs are really high. Unfortunately, the rest of the game just feels so tedious. That said, some people will love it. Play the demo first.
