Level design and enemy placement is very well done. Pacing is excellent.
Doors must be manually opened, but they all have the same controls and are well labeled.
Plenty of save points, all manual. No automatic saves or checkpoints.
Overall a very engaging experience.

Still one of the greatest games ever made. Too bad it looks like they'll never make another HL game!

The original Thief game was one of my favorites of all time and I had high hopes for the new game as well. The game-play is very similar to the originals in how it feels; sneak, avoid, pick locks, steal, repeat, but the new world is MUCH, MUCH larger than any of the original trilogy. This is both good and bad, since it can take a long time to get where you need to go but there is a lot more to do.

I'm glad they avoided some of the oddness that pervaded the final parts of the original games. Amazing graphics, amazing sounds, great game!
