Early Access Review
decent zombie survival shooter

can always lower difficulty if it gets too hard for you, i prefer enjoyable easy mode so i set food and thirst decay to the lowest setting which makes it not so tedious

not too sure about base building tbh, haven't really done any, was just mostly driving between POIs and the safe zone to sell stuffs

i do wish the inventory sorting system was better, especially if you've got bags within bags. hopefully its not just me missing out on some key binding.

this is pretty fun, if you find yourself stucked just grind up some levels and get better perks/ships/equipments etc, theres not really a hardwall in place like some roguelite.

some fights or fleet types may require pausing frequently to use powers/items, but feels manageable so far

*update*
yeah don't hoard items, use them lol, shouldn't be that hard to win easy matches now

*original*

seems a little hard to win 16 rounds even on easy mode lol, tried 3 times and furthest i got was round 13. easy should be easy, unless i'm missing some kind of core mechanic.

no gang (x4 tiles) is a little disappointing.

wont refund as i've gotten an hour worth of fun for the price i've paid, lets see how future updates goes.

another fun little time waster, enjoyed this part of the CW series as usual, until certain maps near the ending

disliked the map farbour and the subsequent one, arca. it seems like along the way the missions gets too tedious for casual players to enjoy. while i understand the developer wanting players to "level up", its just not enjoyable at all. you find yourself starting to increasingly micro multiple ouposts while spamming pauses and activate/deactivate constantly, and that really starts to suck the fun out of the game itself.

unforunataly these 2 maps kind of ruined my overall enjoyment of an otherwise great series, a sentiment echoed by many players too. but thankfully you can always download completed saved files to skip these.

still giving it a thumbs up for the rest of the game

first time im playing a game like these, wasn't really interested in such genre before

the story is really great, i laughed, teared, smiled, you really feel for the characters and their struggles

dispatching as the core concept felt good, although i wish you could pause the gameplay sometimes to listen to the team's conversations properly, felt like a waste when i was distracted with multiple dispatches.

cons: didn't like the interactive cutscenes as i felt they took away from the immersiveness, but thankfully theres an option to toggle it off. hacking gameplay wasn't the best, never found it fun or fulfilling.

haven't played a digimon game since i watched the first anime series as a child, definitely scratched an itch

but, i've realized i've gotten a little too old for trying to min-max parties or, or stories that are too slow paced, and this game is rather slow pace in some places.

some of the areas requires multiple ladder climbs, or crawling through vents, which are just annoying after the first few times. early story is pretty slow paced too until you get into digimon town, which does feel more fun.

i'm struggling a little on bosses on balanced mode, but thats because im too lazy to switch types, or use reversal constantly on my own digimons, but you would expect balanced mode to at least be a little more lenient. I don't really see a way to grind for more digimon loading either, which tends to be my default strat (overpower steamroll), apart from outer dungeons, which feels wonky.

Might switch to story mode just to experience a more fun and casual time.

interesting game, decent amount of fun but i didn't really like the 3 turn limit per battle. not sure if this gets increased later on, but does feel like a shame considering the number of skills available to play with.

Having played Shogun 2 and the Warhammer series, the UI here is just terrible in comparison. I just can't get past the world map itself.

It's not intuitive, very cluttered, too dark and has horrible color schemes.

It's a real shame because ROTK and its various characters has been one of my favourite settings in media.

Fantastic story writing. Haven't been so engrossed in watching every scene for awhile now, I absolutely loved how they even managed to make me feel for characters you've only just known for minutes (right after movement tutorial) at the harbour cut scene.

Fighting system is intuitive, skill and passives customisation is great once you overcome the initial confusion and find the main ones you need.

Some things i disliked were the lack of a minimap, it gets confusing at some stages. Location names disappearing if you zoom the map out far enough was also annoying. Verso voice actor constant whispering really irked me too.
