"Momma's Cooking": The Videogame

One-of-a-kind cult classic. Not even the sequel managed to capture *that* magic. Main menu theme acts as a trigger which mentally teleports you to much simplier times you most definitely miss.

I'm CONVINCED that these developers don't play their own game.

Void! I got a challenge for you. Take a person who came up with Programmed Psychosis achievement (probably ChatGPT's idea but still). That person has 20... you know what? I'll be generous - 30 tries to clear it ONCE with current, live branch AI. Then come back and tell me that this is fair, balanced and working as intended.

Despite being certified hood classic you used to play during your Computer Science classes - this port is horrendous. Runs just as bad as it did in browser back in 2007, garbage resolution, no music, you are being randomly restricted from firing and reloading your weapons and this is what I stumbled upon in first 15 minutes. Just play it on the Internet, you can still find it.

Free is free, but ONLY useful part about this pack is that it gives you another silenced Epic one-handed concealable SMG for Freelancer. That's it. Cosmetic stuff is kinda ugly (purely subjective).

You are not missing out much, don't bother with it.

You can't even build a WOODEN WALL without either praying to Lord that you'll find a random schematic (don't quote me on this but I think there's like THOUSANDS of schematics in this game), paying up $$$ or grinding like F76 is your second job. It was appealing at first ($1 purchase at Winter Sale 2025) but more underwater rocks popped up as I progressed. You can't really play it WITHOUT interacting with other players either without paying up. Power Armored chads vacuum every big location by server hopping leaving you only, literally, junk, denying you a chance at collectibles with static spawns and legendary drops.

I suppose hoarding glue and desk fans is still fun though.

I rate Fallout 76 at

out of 10.

No.

Edit: Comment section spun out of control so it's wiped and locked. So much for having a subjective opinion these days huh?

I'd like to thank my dear friend for such wonderful X-Mas present <3. Been starving to play for a while!

I haven't had much experience with the game yet but so far Expedition 33 feels like going to your local buffet and filling your plate to the brim with things you absolutely love. Here we have:

• Combat "flashiness" of Persona 5;
• Combat depth of Shin Megami Tensei;
• Music, tone and design of Nier: Automata;
• World exploration of majority of "Tales of..." series;
• A spoonful of Attack on Titan on the side as veggies;
• Robert Pattinson;
• A woman in a desperate need of shoes.
French people.

And you know the best thing? This all? It doesn't feel like a ripoff of games mentioned prior. It's perfectly normal to be inspired.

Sandfall got one hell of a first entry in their resume. Ubi sure are biting their nails now. I'm definitely anticipating to see what Sandfall are capable of when they got a bigger budget. GOTY and rest of the awards are well deserved. Yes, yes and absolutely yes!

Being too broke for Battlefield 6, I went back and finally played through Hardline's singleplayer and you know what? It was actually really fun! Real shame that this formula didn't stick with Battlefield community. I can see what EA was trying to do here - smaller scale Battlefield title between major releases to be able to keep up with Call of Dewty. Entire cops and robbers theme is also very interesting, rubbing a heisting genre enthusiast such as myself just right (Call of Duty about cops/SWAT would have been cool as well now that I think about it).

Multiplayer is dead with only one mostly populated server in it. Technically you'll still be able to play it though, although you'll sure have to wrestle with broken Punkbuster to keep it from kicking you every minute. At -95% off it was a fine deal, I liked it. Yet again, real shame it didn't click for majority of the playerbase.

Dynamics of RE4 in first person with RE7's mechanics simply doesn't work. Game feels straight up frustrating to play. RE7 worked, because it's based more on RE1 in terms of pacing. Not the case with Village, this one feels like an RE4 from Wish. 3rd person mode is just as horrible since the game was not designed for 3rd person to begin with. Story is a forgettable whatever, overly sexualized Dimitrescu sisters make me cringe uncontrollably. Man I'm glad that Winters's saga is over.

Gotta thank my sister for making me give it a shot. I REALLY like Far Cry 5.

Pulling away from typical exotic setting with extravagant villain in favor of rural Montana was a fantastic choice. Map is full of things to do and always alive (perhaps, too alive at some points. I feel like I'm fine without helicopters and planes crashing all around me while I'm trying to fish in contested regions). Directing is great, cult theme is intriguing and is portrayed amazingly. Not a single character I can't stand (if you don't count the ones I'm supposed to dislike), Joseph's actor gave his all. Best Far Cry antagonist after Jackal (fight me).

It honestly would be faster if I count things which I dislike:

- Constantly being kidnapped and be forced to play story missions which is essentially unavoidable, since everything you do pushes you towards the end. Sometimes these kidnappings are straight up absurd, like when I was sniped with a sedative arrow while wingsuiting somewhere on the mountain.

MEDIUM SPOILER WARNING

- Ending that make a player look like a bloody idiot. Throughtout the game you are given two choices to "walk away". One leads to a "joke" ending, the second leads to the bad one. Main ending is horrible (as in Bad Ending) either and is "player's fault" according to Joseph. Which is rich, coming from a cult leader whose cult is: murdering, pillaging, zombifying, drugging, brainwashing innocent people. And right in the end his character has AUDACITY to accuse the player of making the wrong choice. We are made to feel "bad" over our choice when main villain has no issue gouging someone eyes out for just for theatrics. Joseph tried to see everyone, you see. Killing off half of Hope County is "collateral lmao xD", you see. Absolute trash of an ending which, thankfully, can easily be retconned since a) Nobody likes nor cares about New Dawn, b) final boss fight was under infuence of... heavy substances, so it can be written off as drug induced hallucination. HOWEVER, I must admit, final section with driving while nuclear bombs keep falling gave chills.

Quick word on side content: waste of time. DLCs are boring filler, Arcade is dead. Interesting idea, horrible execution. They gave map making tools, but didn't give any incentive to be creative and make proper maps. 99% of custom maps are horrendous garbage.

You won't regret it if you are looking something to scratch your open world FPS itch.
