I really wanted to give this game a chance, but it disappointed me at every step.

First the good:
I really enjoyed the visuals, the scenery is really calming. That's for the positives.

The bad.
For a game calling itself a "simulator" the realism is abysmal. It is on par with a flight simulator where a 747 flies by flapping its wings. First of all, for most of the game I wasn't using a metal detector, instead running around waiting until my extra sensory perception kicked in. Then, finally, I would whip out my device. Which unlike any other detector in the world worked as a kind of echolocator, guiding me towards the target from a few meters away. Then two digs with a shovel and my new find was in plain sight. Let me tell you this is not how it works.

The ugly:
The devs got even the detector classification wrong. Your first device made of finest Chinesium is able to detect even a tiniest needle, while missing objects such as tanks or buried gold trains. Do I need to even say it?

And this was such an easy error to fix - all the devs needed to do was to make large, shallow objects less valuable than small finds. The balance of the Force would be restored and the game would have a tiny bit more realism.

Moreover all the detectors make exactly the same sound and behave in exactly the same way. I get not overcomplicating things, and not changing the rules in the middle of the game, but in my opinion the game would be so much better if we were allowed to play with signal strength and discrimination (rejection of iron) settings.

Early Access Review
I really wish I could recommend this game, as it has some interesting ideas, but at this time I simply cannot.

My first issue is the user interface. And this kind of problem is simply inexcusable for a game about game development of all things. The interface is clunky, and the icons are humongous. This is a PC game at its core, but the UI is designed for a tablet or console. The experience is somewhat bearable if one sits a few meters away from the screen as one would using an Xbox.

The second problem are the sliders and employee skills percentages during the game development phases. What do they mean? What do they do? The tutorial does a piss-poor job of explaining it, and while on the face of it, they should be self-explanatory, their use remains a mystery to me despite creating some semi-successful games.

This game is fun. Addictive. Incredibly hard.

But I simply cannot recommend it as I'm simply not able to finish it due to bugs. Every time few hours into the game my save gets corrupted.

Well, at least when somebody complains about how hard Darl Souls series is, I can safely laugh at them and call them "sweet summer child".
