Great graphics plus amazing facial animations they were pretty much on point but the zombie characters didn't have any details at all just copy-paste of each other awful ragdolls as well also soundtracks were not that good.
Now the main reason I hate this game and dislike it is the story, The story is too long and the game is too slow as well, mixing these 2 will not have a great outcome the game forces you to walk instead of running in some missions or decrease your bike's speed drastically when you are in camps wasting time for no reason, and the script didn't make sense sometimes the main character talked like someone who has mental issues, pausing between each one of his words for no reason like he has 20 IQ or something.
Side quests are a joke as well you hunt bounties over and over it's repetitive and boring and I don't see the reason for a sequel I have no idea how some folks even asked for it.
The gameplay is not that bad it's bearable, hordes are deadly it's like World War Z didn't like the gun mechanics though.
If you want to waste your time it's a good game because the story is horrendous and long for no reason.

The graphics of this game are truly next gen, the atmosphere the light work, shadows facial animations cut scenes etc etc. ray tracing not so good i preferred no ray tracing but if you can handle it without dlss go for it.
The story is meh not that deep and some what boring but still bearable but oh my god dude the saving system is horsedookie..... for some reason after 2 years i guess, the game still has the saving problem, if you die your autosaves goes from 200kb to 50mb up to 1gig ! and when this happens the game wont load and it crashes so i had to go and download others save files just to finish the game....... AWFUL!
And i dont know what is the obsession with vents in some point the game turns to venting simulator like come on dude i know you did the same with dead space games but come on enough is enough....
Anyway this game is only good for its graphics other than that not worth at all.

After playing that rip off (True colors) i had to wash that down somehow and what's better way than playing the first masterpiece i mean even to this day the story is 50 times better than that joke...
Graphics were alright but i preferred the OG one but hey it's still worth it.
Oh and the things we do for love. Bye bye arcadia bay you wont be missed.

I don't know how you can go from the first masterpiece and the other 2 great LiS to this, I guess when you want to milk your franchise for too much this thing happens and the audacity to some reviews compare this to the first game and call it better is just mind-boggling.
The story which is the main course for these types of games is awful and boring, with no connection to the past LiS plots, and just plain boring until chapter 4 even the power of the main character is boring who cares if I can feel other people's emotion is this some therapy simulator deck nine??
The developers were lazy as well you only play in a town so they didn't even bother to create new interiors or places.
But the graphics were amazing they put good use of ray tracing I enjoyed the reflections, and the facial animations were on point as well, good music and soundtracks too still these games are mostly about the story, not the looks.
The "your choice matters" quote is just an illusion in this game no matter what you do the game has its fixed flow you can't change it you either stay in town or leave it that's it.
Such a waste of time

Graphics still hold up for a game that is from 2017 so many detailed cut scenes, it shows that they care about the game.
Story was complete as well they answered every question from the first game and it really was a closure to the game i dont know how some people asked for a third game since there is nothing to explore.
Also that "ordinary world" cover was the real deal it really suits the game.
Rip Tango Gameworks.

Opening multi verse in to your plot for your game or movie is not a bright idea because you will make endless possibilities and plot holes, after finishing the base game and the dlcs i had to read some PHD level of explanation on reddit to understand what the F was going on and i don't know what's the obsession of the writer of this game to choose the worst ending for the characters... Story wise i didn't enjoy it because i got lost after elizabeth opened portals to other realities.
Other than that the Gameplay was great so many real-time action scenes were there and it was fun to ride with it.
Soundtracks were not deep and powerful like the previous games and it was a turn off for me but after all it was a good game.

For a remaster i'm gonna dislike this one, no new game+ mode like come on this game has multiple endings based on your choices and you expect from your players to start a fresh save every time to get those endings?What's the point of remastering it if you don't want to even add simple stuffs like this...
And i crashed multiple times when using machine guns or grenade launchers nice job 2k GAMES
Other than that the gameplay was much better, soundtracks were outstanding but they blurred saving litter sisters animation like why?! That was the best part of the experience and you decided to hide that from us? pfff

Gameplay is old but good story did it for me oh and i didnt know saving the little ones bring this much of satisfaction.
Great game

i didn't play the Half-Life series at all and this is my first time jumping into the universe of it and man im not complaining at all, Crowbar Collective did an amazing job remaking it from the scratch! The Xen part of the game is simply jaw-dropping.
I couldn’t tell you any other way.
It has such a cool narrative and the story is told in such a subtle way, not to mention it plays phenomenally.
The music was wonderful too it was immersive and beautiful. it suits the Half-Life universe and gives you nothing but joy.
If there's any team that Valve needs to hire, it's this one. A full-scale remake of the first Half-Life driven by nothing but passion sounds like a recipe for disaster, and yet, it came together SO beautifully.

I don't know why a bunch of folks are upset about the story's tone, first of all, they addressed what's going on in the game so there should not be any frustration about the story and second, I saw people complained about normalizing, and stuff...! this game is max 3 hours how on earth you found out that it's normalizing?! And guys you need to wake up as well this world is not some fairy tale dark things happen all over the world on a daily basis.
The graphics are amazing you can enjoy UE4's true capacity in it, shadows and lights are real-time as well so when you are stuck in the dark the game will be scary af. The Gameplay is ok it's a walking simulator and there is not anything special to do in this game but not knowing what are you against is a wise choice to let the game feed on your fear.
The story on the other hand is good until you reach the ending, it has 2 endings and both of them don't make sense and don't suit the character. (Nicole)
Overall it's a good game with great graphics amazing soundtracks and a mediocre story.
