Good. Will get even better with time as more expansions are released. Mods are aplenty. Needs plagues and other flavour features. Not having population numbers is sad, but I suppose it's okay since this game focuses on the individual hierarchs of the medieval era. Roman Empire needs its own government form, even if that can be fixed by mods. Game just needs a big expansion in events that may or may not occur. Religions should be better represented. I dislike that me converting my country to Christianity is just a Piety check and a click here or there. Coronation events would be nice. Some things are obviously a downgrade from CK2, as provided above, with the plagues and whatnot. Stress system is good to force you to play according to the personality of your ruler, instead of just min-maxing the game unto oblivion. Crusades are the same as in CK2. Playing as a pagan is the same.

Expansions are a bit overpriced, but they provide much more than what we're used to when it comes to Paradox.

A few steps forward, one or two back. In the end = 1000 hours of your life gone. And you had a little bit of fun in the process. Maybe. Unless the game hates you, like it hates me.

-Gameplay-wise probably the best "souls"-type game on the market right now.
-The combat has a lot of depth as well as many different options to suit the player.
-The leveling system is perhaps not the most engaging, just a true quality build (builds only matter at higher levels).
-Story is "okay", but perhaps not the most fluid.
-The difficulty of the game varies, but overall the game is pretty difficult, awarding skilled players.
-Beautiful design of both bosses and characters.
-Good character creation, although better for females than for males.
-Overall good level-design and fun missions.
-Fun playing with a friend, however playing with two friends causes the enemies to receive bloated HP-values which make the combat worse.
-Endless replayability!
-Worth full price, but if you can get it cheaper then it is a must buy!

If you want to play a game where you just wait.. And wait.. And wait.. ... This is the game for you! I'm going to have to say, however: The journey is more fun than the destination. If you're looking for a satisfying ending, this is not the game for you; although helping your little shade pal get through it has indeed been a pleasant experience.
