Some glitches during dispatch (at least when using controller), but still a damn good game, great story, and great characters.

Great game until the novelty wears off. Starts off as the fear of Arcs with the potential threat of people and very quickly becomes the primary threat are people and the Arc are an annoyance at which point you may as well just be playing any run of the mill PvP game. Gameplay loop gets stale quick. I had more fun during the playtest.

Yet another fun and engaging puzzle platformer by Playdead. Worth a play, get that brain working.

My god.. that was THE saddest game I've ever played. Randomly saw this game pop up on sale and said screw it, bought it. 10000% did not disappoint, an absolute masterpiece of a story. Genuinely depressed that its over. I need a damn drink.

Edit: Just realized there is alt endings.. running it back.

100% worth it! Games that are poorly optimized or just resource intensive are transformed with this tool. The recent 3.0 made visual artifacts less noticeable. I had refunded this initially because my first time purchasing it I tried it on a competitive shooter, which this is not meant for, and it was not a good experience. After running into low FPS in some single-player games, I re-bought it and had a completely different experience.

TLDR: Alright, not terrible. Could have been better. Episode 1-3 good, 4-5 bad. Don't like the direction it took/is taking. Fans are overplaying how bad it is.

In comparison to all the LiS games, this one definitely isn't the worst. The first 3 episodes in particular were actually pretty good and I liked the build up. Good murder mystery and Max's new power was a great tool for problem solving. That ending for episode 3 had me :D, until the reveal, then I went D:. Episode 4-5 definitely declined and I'm not a fan of the direction it took and where this franchise seems like its heading.

The side characters were so-so. They played their rolls, but some of them I just didn't like, and not in the sense that they're designed to be unlikable, but more like I just didn't care about them; they didn't serve much purpose. Vinh was decent, Moses I liked, really wish they did more with him. Loretta too, she gave me a Victoria vibe, but then they did nothing with her.

I don't understand the people saying this was dishonest to fans or a cash grab (minus the DLCs, but like... just don't buy them). It told it's own story but had references to the original because how the hell could it not? You aren't playing as some random like 2 or True Colors, it's Max. You can't just start over and not mention a single that happened from the first game.

Personally, I think the true ending from the first game is not saving Chloe (sorry if that's a spoiler but if you haven't played 1 yet, what the hell are you doing?). If you did select that ending, it flows much better into this game. I think that should have been the only option, and I feel like that's what D9 wishes they did as I'm sure they didn't know they'd be making this story. (recently learned D9 aren't the original devs.) If you chose the other option, yeah, it might feel odd starting this game with that choice but boohoo, get over it.

Comparing to previous games, obviously not better than 1 or Before the Storm, anything is better than 2, and just a bit better than True Colors (True Colors had a good setup, but damn did that game feel rushed and unfinished which resulted in the rest feeling lackluster. Also the power in that game was dumb.)
