the only things holding this game back are the classic fromsoft habits of not changing button icons, stinky netcode, and some poor performance in places.

Looking past that, however, you find easily the best game this year, one of the best of the last decade, and deserves to sit with the all time greats. The gameplay is simple but deep. The world is worth exploring and full of cool stuff. the bosses are (mostly) engaging. Has a great story and world if you're willing to seek it out without waypoints or quest markers to guide you. Its this developer's masterpiece, without a doubt.

new peeps to fromsoft games beware, however. this one is hard.

a game that goes from robbing banks to reincarnating the president, and I love it.

You do need DLC to be competitive at high levels, however.

Absolute blast to play with friends.

9/10 would buy again.

TL;DR 2.5k (and counting) hours of my life I'll never get back, but I don't regret spending them.

I haven't played a game before or since that combined movement, mechanics, and map design (alright, that one is debatable) this well. Try rocket jumping if you get the chance, and don't forget to buy a hat.
