No video game has had me in this much of a chokehold since I was 16 playing Skyrim for the first time on my Xbox One. CEMENTS rpgs as being my absolute favorite genre of game, and I truly believe this to be the gold standard of the genre. I'm closing up on my 3rd total playthrough now and am still finding things I never knew existed, despite spending 200+ hours in my first playthrough trying my absolute best to scrub through all possible areas and quests and characters. Character customization could be improved upon, but with the amount of mod support this game has I hesitate to even mention that. This brought back the absolute joyful whimsy that DnD once held for me and singlehandedly re-stoked my interest in both crpgs and ttrpgs. Have never experienced any real bugs, worst to happen was my camp dog getting stuck behind a tent. Consistently runs super smooth. Have yet to play multiplayer (have no friends </3) but I've heard that's incredible as well. Can't say enough good things about this game, the VAs, and Larian Studios.

It's hard for me to decide whether I'd recommend this game or not. It's well-made, easy to figure out/beat, generally interesting, but it is not a horror game. The first 10 minutes of this game were scarier than any of the rest of it, which really got my hopes up, but by the time I was on my second day playing this I found myself pushing to even finish it as I was getting disinterested in the plot/gameplay very quickly. The only "scary" things that occasionally happen are glitch-type audio/visuals. Honestly I would say that in the thick of this gameplay it's more a comedy indie than a horror. The end is arguably kind of scary, but in the same way that DDLC is. Revolves around the player's empathy for the protagonist that they've interacted with. I've also seen tons of reviews speak of how sad and hard hitting it is, but personally I was not affected by the story at all. It's very predictable from almost the very beginning, and after drudging through so much repetitive combat and locomotion I just couldn't bring myself to care about the story anymore. As a huge psychological horror fan, it hurts to say, but I was a bit disappointed in this game, and don't see myself giving it another playthrough. If you go into it expecting less horror and more just indie, I'm sure you'll enjoy it plenty.

game is super immersive, like probably the most out of anything I've played in vr yet. actually really fun, but also super disorienting. I think I will be living in slow motion for the next hour at least. yeah i know blah blah they removed a suicide scene okay sure that sucks, but I never played it before they did that so I don't really care. maybe I will when I get to the end, maybe I won't.

cute little game, very obviously made as a way to learn the steam deck controls. I played with an xbox controller and everything still worked fine. Funny narrative, good characters, but playtime is only about 30 mins with no replay value

When every path you can walk has been created for you long in advance, death becomes meaningless, making life the same.

Do you see now?

Do you see that Stanley was already dead from the moment he hit start?

Played this game for the first time on my xbox a couple years ago and it took me DAYS to finish because of how scared I was. Bought it on PC to stream for some friends and expected it to be a lot less scary the second time but it still has some kick to it! Really love the storytelling of this game, the atmosphere and the constantly turning and winding and churning of your surroundings really ♥♥♥♥♥ with you and puts you on edge. Wonderful game.
