Welcome to my profile.
Steam has been home to me since November 2010, and a lot has happened since then. If you've made it this far, here's a little about who I am.
Gaming has been a constant in my life since childhood, something I shared with a close friend and have never let go of. That passion eventually pushed me toward content creation. My wife and I run a YouTube channel together, and she's every bit the gamer I am, possibly more so. Our offices are back-to-back, and more often than not, she's the one still at her desk when I've already called it a night. 😅

A fun piece of trivia: my wife and I met through an MMORPG called AION, back in 2014. We occasionally jump into co-op games together when time allows, and I'll also team up with Steam friends from time to time, usually for something with a strong story or a game we both want to experience.
Honesty and directness matter to me, and I enjoy meaningful conversations whether they're about games or just about life in general. That said, I tend not to reach out to people unprompted. My days are mostly spent on content creation, and when I do sit down to game, I lean toward single-player, story-rich experiences. They help me unwind, spark ideas, and give me a real sense of accomplishment.
I keep my chat apps to a minimum and don't spend much time on Discord unless something specific brings me there. If you want to connect, this platform is where I'm most comfortable.
When you see this, I'm likely occupied with something outside of active gaming. This could mean managing trading cards or adjusting playtime records for older games I've played but hadn't previously added to my Steam library. For example, I played Elder Scrolls: Oblivion long before it was in my Steam collection, so I gradually bring the recorded hours closer to what I actually invested. This gives a more honest picture of my history with a game. Worth noting: I only do this for games I've genuinely played, never ones I haven't touched.
I'm collecting cards for a newly acquired game or something picked up through a giveaway. Once that's wrapped up, I'll return to my usual status. My attention is mostly off Steam during this time, but I'm still happy to respond to messages, so feel free to reach out.
Single-player is my default, but I do occasionally game with my wife or jump into something co-op with friends, usually when the story makes it worth it (the Borderlands franchise is a good example). If you spot me in a non-Steam game, there's a good chance I'm on my Switch or PlayStation. PC is my primary platform, but the others get their time too.
I've been gaming since 1996 and writing reviews seriously since 2019. I don't claim to be perfect at it, but it's something I care about and keep working to improve.
Story is what draws me into a game. When something holds my attention through a significant portion of its runtime, I'll often push for 100% achievements, since completing a game fully gives me a satisfaction that's hard to replicate. I make exceptions for games with extensive runtimes or infinite replayability. In those cases, I'll share impressions after a solid few hours and update the review as my time with the game grows.
Reviews have become one of my favorite outlets. I write for other gamers who are weighing a purchase, and I keep it genuine. I have no affiliations with developers and nothing is sponsored. Everything I write reflects my honest experience.

My first PC game was Cossacks: European Wars back in 2001. Before that, I have memories of Super Mario Bros on the Sega Genesis and Super Mario World at the arcade in 1996. Gaming has been a constant ever since.
Growing up, city builders were my obsession. Transport Tycoon Deluxe is where it started, and that love of shaping terrain and constructing things at scale never really left. RTS games were my bread and butter throughout those years: Warcraft 3, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Empire Earth. Strategy was my default genre for a long time.
Around 15, MMORPGs took over. I went through most of the major ones: World of Warcraft, Aion, Lineage 2, Perfect World, Guild Wars 2, Blade and Soul, Archeage. In 2014 I picked up League of Legends and sank a serious amount of time into it before stepping away in 2018.
These days I mostly play single-player games, with the occasional co-op or multiplayer session with my wife. There's something about completing a game fully that I find genuinely rewarding, and single-player experiences give me that in a way nothing else quite does.
My favourite genres:

• Simulation (e.g. Cities: Skylines, The Sims, Anno)
• Action RPG (e.g. Dying Light, Metro, Dishonored)
• Action Adventure (e.g. Shadow of Mordor/War, Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs)
• RPG (e.g. Dragon Age, Divinity: Original Sin, Mass Effect)
• Adventure (e.g. A Plague Tale: Innocence, Tomb Raider, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice)
The list goes on, but you get the idea. I'll play just about anything that catches my interest. The backlog is large and growing, and I'm working through it systematically, especially the franchises I haven't touched yet.

One thing worth mentioning: I'm on a mission to reach 100% completion in most of my games before moving on to the next. A finished game usually comes with a full review, so those tend to run long. Occasionally the installed pile gets out of hand and nothing gets finished, but I always come back around once things feel a bit too cluttered. 😅
