Nostalgia with a hint... or rather, with a HEAVY Valheim influence. Unlike other Early Access games, this one is actually in Early Access with a real roadmap and already showing that they can follow through. I'm optimistic for once, for what the game is at the moment, it is already in great shape. The more content gets added, the more this game will truly be enjoyable. Good job, Jagex.

This is basically Valheim with a Runescape theme and rather than boats, you have magic. Honestly, the combat feels nice even though ranged feels a little weaker than the other two combat classes (a theme in RS history...)

I like trees.

As much as I like trees, I like people playing their favourite factions without issues. I also like not getting stuck in a loading screen after a manual battle. It's really not too much to ask, is it?

It hurts having to give this wonderful game a negative review.

You have two choices:

1) You ruin your life with this game.

2) You pretend not to ruin your life and ruin it with this game anyway.

You have been warned.

This game would've been amazing.

If it wasn't for the atrocious writing, the forced narrative, and the narcissistic pair of blabbermouth main characters that you have to endure for the entirety of the game. Did I mention not being able to make the game more difficult/less difficult for the challenge/ease of access?

In my experience, not only was it exhausting having to listen to the writing of what feels like a 12 year old, terrible voice actors, but also just straight up boring. Also being able to breeze through the game due to the sheer simplicity of whatever minigames you come across, made it very unenjoyable. No mechanics were fleshed out at a later point.

Now all that wouldn't have made this a not recommended for me, no, it was a scene that happens later in the story. Regarding.... The Elephant Princess. I don't even have children and wouldn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ recommend playing it through that. Who the ♥♥♥♥ writes this ♥♥♥♥ and thinks? Oh yeah, let's put that in there. I'm sure it's going to be very funny and make the already miserable and disliked characters even more LOVED. Yeah. No, seriously, went from a pretty bad game to irredeemably bad.

The Positives?
- Visuals
- Many minigames that you've seen in some form in your life, regurgitated into what seems like original and grows old very quickly.

This review is so late.

I'm a "newer" player starting in roughly 2020. I've always loved tower defense games and RPG games. This game combines both concepts and is even MULTIPLAYER!

The game is most enjoyable under the guidance of someone with experience.

Of all dungeon defender games, this one is the one with the most content and no bulls*. There is so much content to enjoy and it is incredibly, still in development today. Thanks to a lovely small community that has a lot of love for the game.

Honestly, not only is the game amazing, but so is the community.

Now so much for the base game and DLCs.

Then there's redux, a "beta" that was sadly abandoned. I personally only play redux, especially since you can't even move event items back to live. Painful, but the game is amazing nonetheless.

Redux has sooo much more content and rebalancing that the live gamemode still lacks today. Until it catches up in content, I'm a redux player that hopes redux will be picked up again.

Want a game you can relax to? This might be the one, depending on the many servers available to choose from.

I like a challenge. Gores is extremely challenging for a new player and that's what I first played years ago and still do today. Give it a try!

What brings this game together is the community. Definitely a recommend from me, due to a lovely community.

The devs have experimented a lot since, however, usually to the benefit of creating a good game. I have to admit, they've done nothing short of an excellent job so far. They even let you get a good taste with their F2P model.

This game has ZERO P2W elements.

That is enough for me to buy the game and enjoy it. Happy dungeon crawling, beware the corner ratticus.

If you want to goof around in a game under a strict narrative with a friend, this is the game for you. (At first, anyway..)

My only regret is being soft. Games like these are too hard for me, reality is harsh enough. Nevertheless, it was a good game with a good story.

An amazon cash-grab that failed in every aspect of the game, false promises, and no real content updates.. Just a shell. If you want to buy a prettied up shell with nothing inside, then be my guest and treat yourself to this garbage called New World.

The creators of this game are egoistic and with their attitude as well as the state of the game after so much time of "development" I can't actually recommend this hunk of garbage. A decent game that needed work was abandoned, they've since then made a new game from scratch... That has no content at all. After all these years. Hell no. ♥♥♥♥ that.
