Is Exanima worth it?
What even is Exanima?
Well first off lets TL;DR this.
It's a physics based dungeon crawler in its current state...and in my humble opinion very worth it.
Comat is great and has the feeling of weight behind it but in terms of content it can be found wanting.


Yeah, it's early and it is light on the content side of things- but damn- the combat in the game is crunchy.
You strike with momentum, weight and deadly accuracy- if you want to win.
To start with the combat was frustrating, the ins and outs where difficult and hard to go through but after a couple of rounds in the arena things started to click. And by click I mean I beat a man with the flat of my blade repeatedly while he was backed too close to a wall to swing his weapon.

You see a nifty side effect of being physics based is the care with which you have to plan almost two moves in advance- spacing and timing can be critical- so can your movement speed. you might connect what you have been a deadly blow but..oh no you tried to out manuver yourself and you tripped up over your two handed sword. Oops. Or mid fiht you try sidestep next to a wooden beam, you trip over and fall flat on your face and procced to get beaten with a wooden stick.

The graphics are nice and the armor looks weighty and worn down. The one thing that I would potentially level at the graphics are that the art style so far is very- grey and not in a good way. I can see what they're trying to do and maybe once more colour is introduced/ new enviorments with more to trip up over that'll remedy that.
