8yr old and I are crushing it. Controls are solid, graphics great, puzzles are tricky enough at times to make it rewarding but not difficult and frustrating. So far so good.

Metroid meets Hades meets Street Fighter... this game is fun to suck at.

Even better than the first one. Even at early access this game is polished and ready to enjoy.

This is just the right amount of vintage nostalgia but with modern game play and mechanics. It is a blast to play for all ages especially with co-op.

My 5yr old daughter and i have been playing this game during covid and she absolutely loves it. She likes to play the same missions over and over again running around and interacting with things. She has some enamel pins of 'hat girl' and 'mustache girl' on her backpack for school. I step in and help with the more difficult acrobatics. Good times.

Awesome game, hate that you have to load Origin as well and for the love of all things what is up with the 3+minutes between match end and match start! But yeah, the game play is solid and fun even when you're getting your butt kicked.

So far so good. Hopefully the devs keep this going in the right direction!

update: 700+ hours in... I played through to the end of the plains and enjoyed every minute of that 500 hours of fun with my friends on our server. It was quite literally one of the best parts of covid for us.
We revisited and restarted after Mistlands only to find the later game mechanics no longer enjoyable and the updates/additions feeling like 'too little too late'. This game had amazing potential. I wish the devs had grown with the early popularity of the game and hired help to complete this years ago... perhaps with better focus on what people were enjoying about it (for example; we didn't need magic, we needed an ocean biome with sailing/rowing mechanic). The mistlands was so irritating to navigate our group gave up caring about exploring new lands.

I hope more refined game studios take note and build a complete game with this core recipe.

Super fun to play, quick jump in and jump out game play. My kid loves it too.

this is my favorite game of all time. There is always something to do, i have been playing it for 8 years.

I love this game. I hate this game's developers. It was so fun to play at first and then it changed directions. Then after a bunch more changes it was getting closer to being fun to play again and then they changed directions again! I finally had to just stop playing and I'll wait until someone takes charge and figures out if this will be a great game or another hodge podge running on hopes and dreams.
