Overall, an amazing story game.
One of the few third person horror games that is actually scary. Cuz third person usually isnt scary.


But there are quite a few downsides *CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS*

-General bugs. At one point, I got stuck on top of a sink because a nurse hit me and pushed me onto it, and after that I couldn’t move, and i was forced to go 20minutes back to old save.

-Maria can be really annoying. she keeps standing in front of me and blocking the way and overall saying senseless things. (i know its part of her character) but still

-Some puzzles feel unnecessarily confusing. For example, how was I supposed to know that the tube I found in a some monsters azz, and a needle from another location needed to be combined to get something from random sewer or hole? There are many other puzzles like that which just don’t make much sense or are stupidly hard, and personally if i get frustrated while doing puzzle in horror game, i dont scare anything after that. im just annoyed and usually shut down the game.

-Some parts really need more background explanation because otherwise they don’t fully make sense.

There are more issues which i do not remember now, it’s been a while since I played it.
I need to play the original PS1 or PS2 version to see if those problems exist there as well.

I was excited to play this for the first time.
I started it and finished the first game session. (The controls were awful, even for a 2000 game.)
But I read other reviews, and they explained the shady Russian DRM situation, so I refunded it.

I recommend to look for other reviews before buying.

Remove the manhole cover monster and I’ll change my review to positive.
It adds nothing to the game other than frustration and is annoying as hell.

Thought it was a big open world game, either with or without a story, but I’m not really sure what it’s supposed to be.
The game feels a bit clunky. I expected something like DayZ without the competitive side or pvp

After a bit over five minutes, I got stuck inside a house. I couldn’t open the doors, and while I could pick up chairs and other objects into my inventory, I couldn’t place them back inside the building to climb out, which was really frustrating.

I also couldn’t break the wooden planks on the windows to escape. There were indicators showing that they should be breakable or that i could do something to them, but no matter what I did, they just wouldn’t break.

After a while, I couldn’t pick up anything anymore, it just said something like “No space” or “Too heavy,” even though I had nothing in my inventory.

I’ve also heard the developers have some kind of odd history online, but personally I don’t care too much about that. and didnt dig up too deep to that. but heard something

That said, the overall feeling is nice, and the ambience and graphics are very good.

After about 16 hours of playtime I’ve only run into one player who completely deleted me by sneaking up from behind. Every other encounter has been good around 90% of the people I meet are friendly and actually talk.

I don’t really get the negative reviews. You need to pick your fights, and know when to leave, move quietly, and maybe approach people and ask if they’re friendly – not just wait for them to find you from your hiding spot, or panic, or sprint around and let them see you first.

This is my first scavenge fight escape type game and I really like it. It’s multiplayer, but it almost feels like singleplayer sometimes. I think singleplayer enjoyers could like this game as well.


The only downside I can think of is the looting. It can feel a bit sluggish sometimes. But at the same time I kind of like it, you actually have to grind a bit.
If they made loot less rare, it would be way too easy and everyone would be running around with the best gear.
If you’re willing to grind, you’ll get good guns. :p
