Based Game. Nothing else needs to be said about it. If you like Tactical RPGs and Roguelikes, this is a must have

Haven't fully completed the game (Only have gotten one major key from the keep) I have absolutely enjoyed this game so far. Will edit review if I note anything else when I play the game.
EDIT: Beat the game. Its Absolutely fantastic all the way through except for the listed cons.

PROS:
1: The movement in this game is amazing. There was never a time where I felt like my movement was limited in any way especially with bhopping being something I absolutely enjoy in any game.
2: The PS1 "Worbling" effect for distant objects is a nice touch and fits the retro look of the game extremely well. For some reason a lot of retro inspired games miss this and (while small) does bother me
3: Sybil has a fantastic design

CONS:
1: The game is short. Though this is barely a con since the game is 6 bucks and is probably extremely fun to speedrun
2: Sometimes the checkpoints when you get reset (by touching toxin usually) put you somewhere very far away for no apparent reason. For example, when you hit the toxin in the Solar Wind building, you will reset to the save point at the start of the area. This isn't too bad since it would take about 20 seconds to get back but its a little obnoxious.
3: The ending is a bit sudden but the final boss fight was fun.

Also if you use Sun Setter at the wall with the broken incline piece near the Solar Wind upgrade building, you can end up softlocking yourself.

Overall this game is pretty solid and an easy pickup for only 6 bucks.

Let the game evolve as time goes on. You'll notice a ton of negative reviews stating very prominent issues but ive seen what the developers can do and patience can lead to one of the greatest plat fighters ever. My personal complaint at the moment is wavedashing into ledge and wavedashing onto stage from ledge is a bit jank and kinda inconsistent. The game is in early access meaning of course there is gonna be issues arising from what is essentially a test for this game.
Ive seen a couple reviews talking about how clunky the game feels which in my personal opinion just isnt true. As stated before, I mentioned that wavedashes involving ledge mechanics do feel off but thats the only issue ive seen so far. Overall, game handles extremely well and could very easily be up there with a game like Rivals of Aether. Waiting to buy this game is definitely not a bad idea but definitely check it out at a later time if you are interested in this game.

Even after having the game on consoles and even mobile, its still a fantastic game in every way

The game is very violent

This game truly has everything when it comes to fighting games. It has fantastic characters, extremely well done graphics, amazing color alts that has a sea of references and an extremely smooth online experience. I have never enjoyed a fighting game such as this one ever (even beating those like Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Rivals of Aether etc.). I even enjoy losing because in the end it was still a great match and a good learning experience. This game deserves way more love and I would highly recommend you to try it. Definitely worth your money if you are a fan of the genre. I wish everyone who developed this game and the community a very good day.
