Finally Ace Combat Nostalgia!

I don't know where to even start with this game. Thank you Namco for finally bringing back the "old" Ace combat! The last ace combat that I played and completed multiple times was 4 Shattered skies. The story was amazing, it was truly ahead of its time for a PS2 game. After purchasing this game, I was truly blown away by how identical it felt to 4. The graphics are absolutely phenomenal, Infact I'm running a Rx560 with only 2GB of memory and am averaging 60fps on max settings.
Before I go any further I'm going to recommend that you purchase a controller to play. You can tell that the game is meant to be played with a controller.

If you've played the older Ace combat games, you'll feel right at home using the "expert" control scheme. The button layout is also quite similar to the PS2 version...just with an Xbox controller.

Pros:
•Very well optimized.
•Maintains Classic Ace combat control scheme.
•Beautiful photorealistic maps and aircrafts.
•Hilarious radio commentary like the old games.
•Checkpoints! If you've played 4 and remember whiskey corridor and Tango Line, then you know the pain of failing a mission.
•Intuitive aircrafts upgrade system, adds more customization to aircrafts.

Cons:
•Very difficult to play without a controller.
•Mission objectives can sometimes be vague. (Many times I found myself yelling "WTF" after failing a mission. lol)
•Storyline seems to shift focus extremely quickly, almost disorienting at times.

Early Access Review
More than just a game!!! 5/5 *****

This is by far the MOST amazing game I have ever played. It is worth so much more money! I simply cannot say enough about how much I love this game.

Gameplay:
The amount of options are limitless, I love how you can build your ships from the ground up, and how every part has a purpose. Your ships need reactors as a power source for example to operate the engines, lights, gravity modules, and oxygen pressurization inside your cabins. However if you choose survival mode you must harvest materials from drilling into asteroids in order to survive. This gives the games dynamic a bit of a mindcraft feel, but at the same time its so much funner in my opinion.

Addons:
The fact that we are given the option to download mods and additional blocks to add onto the experience of the game and build our ships to our liking just makes the game like nothing else.

Soundtrack:
In addition to the detailed roaring sounds of your ships engines and rector's, the main soundtrack consists of relaxing cinematic and orchestral music that plays in game as you're navigating the menu and building your ships. It makes the map feel so much more broad in which it already is and encourages exploration.

Overal:
For $20 in addition to getting a game you are also buying the best space simulation on the market. I promise you will not be disappointed if you do decide to purchase this title. Out of my entire steam collection it is my most prized possession.

GO SPACE ENGINEERS!

In this expansion of Half-Life You play as one of the soldiers that originally tried to kill you in Half-Life. I will keep it short and sweet, there are new weapons as well as new monsters.

The game is slightly harder than the first Half-Life in terms of enemies being stronger, and puzzles being a bit harder. The wonderful thing is you get a selection of new weapons. You get a sniper rifle which is very useful against enemies at a distance. You also get an m249 saw so you can go Rambo on those headcrabs and roof barnicles, speaking of barnicles guess what? You actually get the barnicle as a weapon, you can use its unlogically long tongue to tarzan swing from catwalk to catlwalk or you can latch onto monsters and let the barnicle eat them. Kind of neat...and nast at the same time!!! ^_^

Overall this is another amazing classic that you should deffinitly pick up.

This game is the example of a true classic masterpiece. The enviourment is dark, the deaths are very abrupt, and the enimies are ruthless. Half-Life is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat and constantly fueling the feeling of paranoia in the back of your mind.

What makes this game so unique is the fact it is a puzzle in itself. This isnt like most of the other games that gave you your classic objectives and kicked you in the but expecting you to "get er done". Half-Life required that you used your mind to solve little escape puzzles. These puzzles ranged from, opening an oversized heater vent to activating oversized prones to a massive generator.

Now, lets talk about the dangers. theres alot in half-life that wants to kill you. Oversized fans are sure to turn those bones into processed alien brunch, and lets not forgert about those "Large falls of doom" Miss a ledge and its a long way down complimented by a nice crunch and the sound of your heart monitor flat lining.

Overall this is an amazing game that you must add to your collection. My step dad intoroduced me to it before he passed away, and I still find myself playing this game every now and then. I reccomend you play the game while listening to trance music, it makes it go so much smoother as my stepfather showed me.
