TLDR: I would tentatively recommend this this game now that it's free.

To preface all of this, I'm no professional, so take everything I say with an earth-sized grain of salt.

I'd recommend anyone on the fence to just try it. There's no longer a sunk cost hanging over your head if you don't like it. The music is great. IMO the story is interesting at its best, and usually entertaining at its worst.
I will note that if you're not accustomed to hussies writing and art style it may seem a bit off the cuff, but I don't think it interferes enough to ruin the entire thing, Usually it will move on fast enough for it not to be a bother.
The one complaint I have is mostly just about the UI. The menus feel clunky, but functional enough.

End of game spoiler:
I do think that wiping ALL of your saves and replacing it with what is effectively an after credits scene is nice in theory, since it is a nice bit of optimism in a story that is fairly cynical and pessimistic. HOWEVER I wish it didn't clear ALL of my saves.

Decent game, terrible company. They should fix this game before even daring to ask for a subscription...

This game is phenomenal when its not infested with bots.

No strategy besides which piece to main.

Pretty decent game however, would say that the killers in the game can get a little bit toxic. The game has really fun things to do such as running around in circles or if your a massochist you can be a killer and run after a person in circles.
