Apparently native controller support was dropped at some point and either you have to work with some jank mouse emulation or do the config files yourself. Much frustration with this as the controler config menu options no longer do anything at all.

Menu interface is an illegible nightmare. Trying to use the options screen requires puzzle solving in itself as numblers look more like other numbers than themselves (That 8 is an 0 with a dot). Control layout shows not at all obvious icons with cris crossing branching lines pointing to unlabeled masses of keyboard that is not sensibly spaced to the rest of the keyboard.

Marble has a lot of inertia, and the levels have a lot of angles, this leads to motion sickness very easilly and though there may be a chance I can find a settings combo that will not trigger any... I still cant tell what half the graphics settings actually are or what the numbers in the settings actually read out.

I'd much rather be playing Torchlight II
Several whole systems from the previous games are just gone, such as pet transformations, scrolls, gems, and even stat points.
UI is extremly clunky compared to previous games, cannot have pet inventory on screen same time as yours, need to use a hot key to move items to pet. Need to hold right click to do things but only sometimes, tiny tooltip in corner does not tell you this, took me a while to unlock first skill because you need to hold right click, not just click it or the plus button.
Hard to tell what's going on, forground and background are both extremely busy and its hard to tell what's walkable, whats enemys, whats distructible.
Skills are horribly unbalanced, poorly described and can be a big regret, I picked up rat swarm first and... it's very slow rat boulder with no animation and extreme cooldown, not a minion which it sounded like.
Art style has gone from cartoony but serrious to cartoony and silly. Goblins are cute, not the scraggly ratlings of the past.
Still have not found how to delete the ground clutter in my fort so all my crafting stations are just placed wherever they fit rather than orderly arranged. Would rather have these items in town because going to town anyways for venders not that there's any good venders.

Adding to my large pile of similar games and will likely complete it, but every turn just makes me want to go back to torchlight 2. Only reccomending for genre fans who dont mind unpolished games.

Much awesome!

Level design, combat, and story are all midline, but tie togeather really well to create a memorable and emotional experience.

Combat is easy but satisfying, attacks having impact and unique effect. Most opponents feel significantly different.

Looking forward to whatever comes next!
