I personally love Counter-Strike. The people that play this game are a rugged bunch. The simple to use yet impossible to master mechanics and community are what make this game what it is. The friends I have made from CS over the years I still play with till this day. Valve's policy of barely talking to its player base has positioned this game in an awkward spot as far as e-sports go. The years of valve being cool for acting like a mysterious entity have passed. The community needs a road-map and behind the scene look at what is going on. Valve has stabbed its own player base in the back. If this game had a quarter of the support that other e-sports title have the franchise would be the king of shooters. Valve refuses to fully support a solid fix for a problem they created with the advent of CS2. Cheaters, Bugs, and Poor Communication have began to drive the incredibly loyal player-base to leave the scene. I personally know a few people who have played for years amassing thousands of hours who have decided that its just not worth it to play anymore until Valve get with the times. If you are still reading this please at least give the game I love a try and formulate your own thoughts.
