Easily a 10/10, hardly anything to complain about, one of if not the best Souls game I've played.

The map is smaller than the original game and the story is harder to do in...technical order but the game was very enjoyable. I also loved the ending.

One of the best deck building games I've played, starts off pretty easy, even if you're new to the type of game it is and the difficulty ramps up more and more. Great modding community and modding support, good challenge, a lot to do.

I got the game for free as a gift from a friend. I couldn't really say it's a super great experience but it has solid mechanics and fluid gameplay. Sometimes the platforming can feel messy but it's one of the most unique feeling games despite there not being much to it, and that hardly took away from the experience. The game feels a little bare bones, there isn't much to do with the combat or the platforming.

Basically you'll get a few hours of fun with the story modes. The stealth mechanics are fun, the combat is hard to master when you go on harder difficulties and that alongside the story kept me just engaged enough to get through a couple times, because it gives you a lot of time to figure out the combat and such.

Modding is also a whole new experience, it's quite fun if you find the right ones. I wouldn't really recommend the game without trying a bunch of mods out, after doing the very short story modes. There's a fair bit to offer and even though I got the game for free, I wouldn't mind spending $15-20 for an experience like this. Any more and the game definitely needs to offer more, however.

Probably my favorite Souls game of them all, though I can't say this remaster was amazing or anything. There's still a lot of issues that many videos of people much better at taking in-depth looks at games can describe in way more detail than the few things I'll mention in passing. A lot of crap is wrong when you get into this game's multiplayer mechanics. Many exploits, many easy cheap ways to gimp players, not to mention hackers have never, ever been halted at all despite how much time has passed. It's kind of a complete joke in that sense.

The remaster however did make summoning friends much better (though some things are still annoying, like how limited summoning is compared to even Dark Souls 2) and it runs buttery smooth EVEN compared to how DSFix felt in the original port of the game, which was also a huge disappointment. I understand the team didn't really know what they were doing when they created that port though, so I expected better when it came to returning to the game after a bunch of years. Lots more improvements and fixes to PvP. I would have hoped for Bed of Chaos to be less of a piece of crap boss fight. It sucks that I didn't get a remaster I could feel proud of as a Souls fan, but I got one that runs much better, looks great and is definitely the definitive way to play the game currently.

After playing the game on release for console and PC and easily logging in over a thousand or two hours across all platforms, it's not like I don't love the ♥♥♥♥ out of the game and series, but I do have a lot of gripes when a game is supposed to be remastered and all it seems they did was fix a COUPLE bugs and make the game look prettier and run better. I do appreciate those changes, I just don't appreciate that it's ALL they changed.

All in all, it's Dark Souls. It's an amazing game and honestly incredibly influential, it spawned a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genre of video games and any difficult game in the past decade after its release has been compared to it. That's kind of amazing. It's not perfect and there are GLARING issues, but it's still a total master piece and a game I'll never not love. On top of that, with everything said about how horrible some of this stuff can be, it also is...sort of part of the charm of the game. Not entirely. But it's a thing that almost everyone who has played it can relate to. All those quirky bugs or that time a hacker instantly killed and cursed you with a crystal sword he pulled out of his ass the second you annoyed him. Hilarious ♥♥♥♥ can spawn from those moments.
10/10

It's Crysis, even the first game still looks good, let alone the second. Looks beautiful, but Origin on top of the controls somehow feeling clunkier on mouse and keyboard more than it did way back on playstation with a controller for me is enough of a con for me to refund.
It's good in a lot of ways, just not my cup of tea, still would recommend to anyone looking for an okay shooter.

I'm not sure if I recommend the vanilla experience, as I have barely ever played PURE vanilla Ark. With the little I have played, and even with mods, I do recommend tweaking the stats and such to suit how you prefer the game to be. The ability to do that is readily available in the menus, and further tweaking can be done in the config files, which I appreciate a lot.
I use Extinction Core along with some other quality of life mods, which isn't being updated anymore but still works, with some bugs. Aside from extremely unfair stuff sometimes happening, it makes the game feel much better, especially with the tweaked stats. Catching an army of alphas, for example, makes you feel like a God, and it's so rewarding to build up to that point.
The UI has always been clunky since I first got the game, and always will be. I think the only suggestion on the menu would just be...open it immediately. No delays between pressing the button and seeing your menu. The animation of your hand coming up to have your implant show you is cool, but just have it happen in the background tbh. It's not worth that lag to see your menu in my eyes, especially since you have to open it CONSTANTLY. My only other real issue is load times/optimization. The game takes up TONS of storage when it doesn't need to (as everyone will probably note if they have lower storage), and does not run very well on a lot of machines, though mine can handle it alright. On top of all of that, it crashes relatively often, ESPECIALLY for what's supposed to be a fully released title. It's kind of unforgivable. But it seems the devs aren't gonna bother with that ever, so that's probably a permanent problem.
I got a little ranty, but the main point is the game has some issues, definitely nowhere near perfect, but the mechanics/crafting/dino stuff (especially with mods) feel amazing, it's done very well and it's satisfying. With all the settings/mods I use, I'd easily give the game an 8/10, despite having a lot of issues with it, and even feeling like it's still in beta. Perfect score in my mind if these things were improved/tweaked.
