Played this on the PS3, replayed it on the PC, and it's still a great JRPG. For a game that came out during the 7th generation of consoles the game definitely aged well, if you're familiar with Studio Ghibli's art style then the game graphics is pretty much that. Like others say "It's a playable Studio Ghibli game".

The game itself is slow paced but I believe it's purposely made that way, as the player you need to vibe with the game, take in with the environment and it's linear story progression. Many problems coexist with the game such as the lack of music variety when fighting a boss, and the battle system's mechanics being absolute ♥♥♥♥.

Without any bias, I don't think the battle system is bad, it's pretty much just Pokemon since it has the familiars and all that but for the music variety I can agree, almost every boss battle has the same boss music except for the important bosses and that also applies to normal encounters, they all have the same music when starting a battle. It's weird but it doesn't really bother me that much.

Overall this game is still a good choice to play though I don't recommend buying it full price since both games usually drop down at $15 during a sale.

Probably might try to 100% this game when I get the chance lol.
