An absolute classic. I’d describe this as the Resident Evil 4 of the Dead Space series—it strikes a beautiful balance between horror and action. The plot is engaging and feels like a natural expansion of the universe built in the first game, with Isaac’s story taking center stage in a way that feels both personal and terrifying. The visuals still hold up impressively well, and the game’s distinct art style really shines through. Much of the story takes place on The Sprawl, a massive space station that offers far more variety in environments and themes than the USG Ishimura. From shopping districts and schools to industrial sectors, the amount of detail and environmental storytelling adds an incredible layer of immersion.

Combat is where Dead Space 2 really cements itself as a masterpiece. The dismemberment system is as tight and satisfying as ever, and the weapon variety makes every encounter thrilling. The plasma cutter is still iconic, but experimenting with tools like the javelin gun, detonator, or seeker rifle makes combat dynamic and rewarding. The pacing between claustrophobic horror and adrenaline-pumping firefights is nearly perfect, never losing sight of its survival horror roots even as the set pieces grow larger.

The horror remains top-tier, too. Isaac’s disturbing hallucinations bring psychological tension, while the grotesque Necromorphs keep every encounter unnerving. The sound design is phenomenal—creaking metal, sudden bursts of silence, and distant shrieks keep you constantly on edge. Headphones are almost mandatory to really soak in how oppressive and unsettling the atmosphere is.

On top of that, it runs excellent on modern hardware. On my Steam Deck I was able to run the game at max settings, hitting around 60 fps consistently with about 2–3 hours of battery life, making it an excellent option for gaming on the go.

Overall, Dead Space 2 is bigger, and more polished than its predecessor while respecting everything that made the original special. It blends tight survival horror with blockbuster spectacle in near-perfect fashion and stands as one of the greatest survival horror games ever made.

If you love the Alien franchise there is no better game out there. You can fully immerse yourself in the world of 70s grunge scifi with stunning visuals, rich crunchy audio, and loads of environmental detail.

My only complaint with the game is that it overstays its welcome by about 2 hours towards the end. Highly recommend picking this game up.

Genuinely one of the best progression systems in a game period. Idk how the devs managed to fit all this content into a game sized 1.5 gb but they have succeeded. Deep rock is a fantastic game with lots of variety and friendly and supportive community. This game wins my sleeper hit of 2020.

This game is one of the most immersive and captivating games I've ever played. Fantastic only wish it was longer and had a sequal. Good work Campo Santo!

Alright so I've never played any of the thief games before, so my opinion may not be helpful for you hardcore Thief fans out there. However I must say that this game is excellent. If I could sum up the experience of playing Garrett in one word it'd be ATMOSPHERE. This game has outstanding atmosphere accompanied by sound design and gameplay elements, I've not been so immeresed in a stealth game in years!

Thief is a balls to the wall steath game. Sure you could go in and try to kill/knockout everyone but that's not a challenge, and the game will let you know that. You're not rewarded for being a baddass night assasin; instead you're a ghost sneaking in and out without having to knock out guards or kill them truely leaving no trace of your having been there save for empty pockets and missing trinkets. Difficulty is extremely customizable, for example let's say you don't want to have access to a map, or maybe no ammo counters, or how about no visability meters, scratch that no hud at all, thief let's you do all that and more with extensive GUI/HUD options and difficulty options.

Optimization wise this game runs like butter, I by no means have a high end righ my graphics card is a GTX 650ti Boost SSC by evga, and I play on ultra maintaining around 30-45 fps. All settings can be changed outside of the game in the launcher and can be changed in realtime in game without having to restart the the game, Seperate audio sliders, Benchmarking tool you name it and this game pretty much has. My only real performance problem has to be with the cut scenes for some odd reasons the in engine renders are at a much lower fps than the actual game runs at. This is apperently a well known issue and is being addressed so hopefully we'll see a patch to reslove this issue.

In closing: Thief Looks great and plays tight, with outstanding atmosphere and immersive diaglogues and collectables be warned you will loose hours stalking the money lined pockets of watchmen and hunting down every last bit of loot available.
