An Elegy over spilt milk

I hate to cry over spilt milk.
As it went down my throat it felt like silk.
As I saw it fall
I knew I was going to bawl
over some spilt milk.

As my mom cleaned it up with a mop
she said ,"We would go to the shop,
to get some more,
but i'm afraid we are to poor."

Since that awful dreaded day
I had no will to go and play
I've just sat around.
It feels like I've been bound.
All I've done is climb a tree,
but that wasn't fun to any degree.

All my hopes and dreams lost.
I feel like I've been in the holocaust.
Ever since it hit the floor
I've always wanted more.

Now I see why
,as time flies by,
that you never cry
over the little things,
because it brings
life's worst stings.
