doorman ults r tricky, learning movement in this game will help you LOTS. heres a video on that: youtu.be/LT_NIHF_25A
buying items like stamina mastery, warp stone, unstoppable, and hero abilities can help you get out of his ult a lot more consistently, even if he uses items like slowing hex or knockdown.
also, feel free to try new characters. venator can be tricky at first, but some easier characters might be haze (if u can aim), seven (very good at farming jungle), graves (if you cant aim--can be punished somewhat easily but her ult is very easy to get value with), or bebop (very simple hook bomb punch combo, you can even hook him into teammates to get even more value out of his hook)
