It's been a long time since a game offered me something so different that I wanted to LEARN how to play it. Last time I remember a game like that was Demon Souls on PS3. I had to learn how the game wanted me to play because it was unlike anything else I had played before. Crimson Desert is the same way. The game has so much to offer and plays different that any other game I have played but it makes me want to learn it.

I don't play every game out there, and my time for gaming is quite limited, I know I'll never experience everything this game has to offer, and I'm ok with that. What I have experienced so far has been amazing and reminded me what it was to be a kid again, with a game I didn't know what I was doing, and had no idea where things were going or what the game was capable of.

I don't just get to explore in the game world, but I get to explore and discover what this game IS and what it will allow me to experience and I'm excited.

Good job Pearl Abyss!

Was really hoping for a chill and relaxing experience. This isn't it. Wanted to play this game with my son and sort of explore the world. Instead I get thrown into a stressful, super short guessing game against random other people who have the map figured out in under 15 seconds(googling I'm guessing). The music makes you feel rushed and playing against random people that guess super quickly and force your out of the map is the opposite of chill.

I looked into the non-steam versions of the game and they want you to pay a MONTHLY subscription fee. NOPE. Uninstalled.

Pleasantly surprised to see the Grim Dawn people come out with a city building and resource management game.

This game is a lot of fun and has all the traditional elements you would expect from a city building, survival and resource management game. Build your roads, make some shops and get the raw resources coming in! Make sure your people aren't living too far away from their jobs and for god's sake make sure you have wood for the winter!

The game looks great, especially at night and being able to watch all the individual people go about their day as they fight off bears in order to bring berries to the warehouse is a lot of fun.

If you want to support a small studio and play an enjoyable game, pick this one up. If you like this genre, you will like this game.

I absolutely love this game! It has all the best elements of a survival, crafting and building game mixed with amazing exploration and a very good combat system. With the Wake of the Water update that added fishing, what more could you ask for?

The building system is one of the best created in the genre and many games will be adapting it in the future. If you love building amazing and beautiful structures and towns, this is the game for you. There are so many different types of building blocks and ways to decorate your builds, brining them to life in the exact way you imagine in your mind.

The combat is fun and feels like a mix of action RPG button mashing and a little bit of Soulslike combat needing to dodge, block and parry. It's not the best combat system but it's very capable and fun and fits perfectly with the game. It does allow for options like headshots or targeted critical hits to certain body parts, as well as backstab and flanking type damage. Enemies also have resistances to certain type of damage and are vulnerable to other types, adding a level of strategy to engagements.

If you love to explore, then this is your game! There is something hidden in every nook and cranny in Enshrouded. A ruined town will have hidden cellar doors with golden chests! That gravestone you found? Dig it up! Stumble across a cave? Follow it to rare resources and interesting monsters. Maybe that opening in the mountains leads to a whole new biome!

The biomes are fun and varied with different materials to gather in each zone, adding to the types of items you can craft as you move through the world. The crafting system has a ton of items to create from swords and armor, to potions and spells, it's all there. But it's not overly complicated. Most crafting steps don't require more than obtaining the raw resource, refining it and combining it with a few other items. It has depth and complexity but nothing so daunting that it's off-putting.

All that, and the game is an RPG to boot! Level up your character and put your skill points into a completely customizable class. The game has "class paths" you can follow to obtain a certain architype, but why not experiment and grab all the points that just sound cool? Wanna cast spells and use a bow? Do IT! Want to befriend animals and heal the world? You can! And the idea of respecing and getting your points back is simple and encouraged. Small cost of in-game resource and you can buy back your skill points one at a time, or all at once.

This is one of the best games of all time and crosses many genres and hits many "must haves" for me when it comes to gaming. The devs have been super active and constantly updating the game with amazing features. It might still technically be in early access, but this game could launch today and beat 95% of all AAA games. Pick it up, you won't be disappointed.

Sandbox game with lots of sand and very little toys.

I cannot recommend this game and I don't think it's going to get any better or gain any content worth paying for. As a founder for the game I now have to pay a subscription to keep my plots of land I paid $100 dollars for. There is no real content to the game. It's all about grinding to get to the next tier of items, armor, weapons and building blocks, but there is no reason to do so. So you pay full price for the game, then pay a monthly fee, for the continuous progression grind, and it is VERY grindy. I'll continue to play until my "founders pack" is used up, but I won't be subscribing.

There doesn't seem to be any purpose to the game. I understand the concept of a player based economy and a sandbox game, but there isn't any real content to engage with beyond harvesting and collecting in order to craft dozens of items to increase your crafting skills, and then have to throw all those crafted items away. Sure you could "sell" them to other players, but there isn't any point to having in game money, or even buying items from other players. The point of the game seems to be just to get to the next tier for the sake of getting there. And every item you craft (weapons and armor) they are exactly the same as everyone else in game. There is no skill based crafting or customization of items that would make your items any different than any other player made items.

The enemy NPCs are nothing special and are boring. The combat is a little awkward but functional. The NPCs do drop items you use to craft other items, but there doesn't seem to be a point other than getting the next best item. Other than item crafting and building blocks, there doesn't seem to be any REAL progression in the game.

The game feels like a well polished alpha with tons of potential but I doubt it will ever get there. Not enough people are going to subscribe with the lack of content in order to give the devs enough cash to keep making content. It's a shame.

Click to dig, collect things, gain money. Dig more, level up, get more money. Most relaxing 3 hours of gaming in years. The game is short, hence the price, but being a short game does not make it bad. If you like incremental games and just want to relax for an afternoon, then you can't go wrong with this one. Relax, click the mouse, listen to the chill music and get that dopamine hit from watching your numbers go up!

I've played many different city building games, and almost all of the Cities titles and this one, by far, is my favorite. There is so much going on, and the game lets you manage just about every aspect of your city. The developers have continued to release reasonably priced DLC since the launch of the game and the modding community has TONS of content as well. If you are a fan of city building games, either hardcore or casual, then don't miss out on this game. It is definately worth the full price, but all the better if you can get it on sale.

First off, I'm a huge fan of the Endless games. I love the lore, art style, music and attention to detail the put into their games so this review may seem a little bias.

Many of the game play mechanics in this game are what you would expect from a title in this genre. Turned based exploration, building, expansion, tech tree etc.

The twist that the Endless games add are the addition of Heroes and the ability to completely customize your individual army units. Weapons and armor can be found or researched, and then the individual units can be altered to create entirely new units with a completely different combat style and strategy.

If you like turned based 4x games, then there is no reason to pass this one up. Espeically if you can get it on sale with all the DLC. This one has all the depth and detail you would expect from a 4x game and more.

This game is a great turn based strategy game! Lots of depth in terms of weaponry, pilot skills, types of Mechs you can field, environmental factors and detail with which you can destroy your opponents.

I am new to the BattleTech universe and am really enjoying all the lore this game expands on. The story missions are fun and well thought out, with the "filler" missions adding a good variety of type and way to find new components and mechs. I also am enjoying the music very much. It seems that this game was well put together and I can't wait to see if they add some things via DLC or expansions.

I love the Endless game series and this game is no different. I haven't experienced any of glitches or game freezing problems others have. And as for those that claim it's a slow game, it's a turn-based, 4x, stategy game. Some of it is going to be slow. Much of the game and how "exciting" it is, is based on how you play and how you set your galaxy up.

Pros
-Graphics
-Music
-Sci-fi theme
-Level of detail (gameplay and graphics)
-Diplomacy
-Trade
-Elections
-Heroes (with basic RPG elements)
-Customizable ships!
-Large Tech Tree
-Tutorial and advisor

Cons
-Steep learning curve to learn everything the game can do
-Lots of information to track (I don't find it bad, but others may)

Again, this is a 4x, turn-based, stategy game, if you are looking for the constant action of Star Craft or Sins of a Solar Empire you will feel let down. Those games are great, as are the Civ games, but Endless Space and Endless Legend are the best games in this genre!
