Ill keep it short and sweet, £50 for a 6 hour game!!! capcom have bent us all over and had a great time...

This is a review after only around 2 hours of game play. I am not a reviewer, I'm just giving my opinion on the game in its current state and hopefully help someone with their decision.

Its hard to write a positive review for cyberpunk in its current state.
A lot of people are trying to run the game on inferior machines, which is then leading them to write unfounded bad reviews for the game, I am not! i run the game on a more than capable computer at reasonable settings to meet the capabilities of the machine.

The game starts off slow! it feels like it tries to build a base to start the story which is how all good story driven games start, but right from the beginning you are given choices that seem to be used as a filler to make you feel like you have some choice, but all options seem to lead to one single outcome. This is not how advertising portrayed this. I completely understand that I am only a very small way through the story, but from the "choices" i have been presented thus-far leads you to believe that this is going to be a common occurrence throughout the story to trick you into feeling like you have a bigger influence than you actually have.

In my opinion the game play does not feel like how a next gen game should play, the movement and interaction feels extremely stiff (i would compare it to the first watchdogs) This is not something you'd expect from a game of this calibre and from a release of this time.

The Fighting, whether its melee or gun play is extremely unrewarding from what you'd expect! Now the gun play is good enough, but not what you'd expect, again its stiff not fluid at all and although you have a choice of a lot of guns none really stand out as very different. I played the game on hard difficulty, this lead me to believe that fighting would pose a challenge in the game. It does not, i found myself many times being able to run into rooms full of enemies and literally punch them to death in only a few punches and run onto the next without dying, this seemed to workout as a much more effective and quicker way to kill enemies than using a gun, which seemed to deal a lot less damage on average than a punch. I found this part of the game play baffling and confusing.

The bugs in this game are not specifically game breaking but do make the game feel "broken" its hard to stay immersed in the story when you're being driven somewhere, running through a dialogue and a car shoots through you, or the car stops suddenly jerks around then snaps back to normal driving. Mission events are no better, with characters suddenly appearing and cars shooting through walls into scenes. These are only a few instances of buggy game play that happened to me in my short game play time, and not taking into account the bugs i encountered during basic character movement.

The game itself is beautiful! and night city looks incredible! but at the moment in its current state it feels like an early access title. It feels like they have created a great world and then stopped at that. you don't get the feel like you would from a rockstar title or even a previous witcher title and its really disappointing.

This is just my personal opinion and may help someone who's trying to make a decision on purchasing the game. In its current state it feels like it would be a shame to waste your play through on such a damaged game, once the game is fixed and 100% released it will be an incredible game to play, but until then it just doesn't seem like a game worth playing. especially for the £50 price tag!

You can do pretty much anything you want.

Hype for this game is crazy at the moment! shame everytime you try to set your settings the game crashes, so its unplayable.
Dissapointing to say the least, kinda a real basoic first fix game breaking bug but still charge £39 for the game

REVIEW UPDATE 25/06/2017
Since my previous review there ahve been multiple updades and patches "saying" that bugs have been fixed, and yes they have, but there is now an even bigger set of new bugs wich has put the game further back in my opinion than before, these bugs are just worse jason is virtually unplayable now 80% of the time the only way to kill is so hit them to death the hold kills just wont work no matter how many times you try or for how long you try, and counslers suffer from perks not working items not being able to be picked up cars crashing into nothing and breaking boats not allowing to be entered windows not working and being one hit killed on a fairly frequent occasion, it is good to see the devs working and putting out fixes but they are not working so they are pointless this weekend they have thrown a load of free ingame "goodies" at us to try and compensate, but the goodies dont stop the bad early beta style gameplay, the is charged at a AAA game price and offers a early access gameplay still its great that work is being done but the work needs to be done on the things needed not double xp weekends and ingame loot. i feel this game is now going to collect dust in my steam library (cannot refund) until these problems are fixed as the game is just not enjoyable once you start getting better you realise the most of the time the error is with the game not you as to why you get caught or how easy it was to escape from jason, because the game stops jason from being able to kill or stops a counsler from being able to even climb through a window or grab some healing spray from a draw.




Dont get me wrong this is a brilliant game in princible! and could really be an amazing game, but at the moment in its state it is missing one thing, a big fat early access sticker! the game is riddled with bugs and glitches that cause items to be unusable, jasons abilitys to not work or not be able to attack or grab, the counslers to have tripping fits or get stuck randomly, you lock a door then amazingly it unlocks itself automtically, jason can hit you through walls if youre hiding in a corner, andplayers are constanly glitching under bridges and ontop of houses or out of the map. The problem is, is that these aernt bugs that happen every once in a while, they happen every game without fail! and for the heafty price of £29.99 that is a lot from a game with such blaring issues and that was delayed for release (you would have thought they would have sorted such problems). at this time i cannot reccomend the game, there is just too much wrong with it and not enough stability when playing to warrant the price tag and the release without a early access tag to it. One more point is that there is no penelisation system in place for players who leave the second they see theyre not jason and no reporting system for glitchers, they get worse day by day, and a reporting system needs to be added!!!

I love this game! its cheap and has workshop, really fun game to kill some time then you end up seeing youve spent over 400Hours playing it.

Great game, been playing on xbox for a long time now on pc, only problem is there is no penalization for people who quit games the second they conceed a goal, this become frustrating and ends up ruining gameplay for about 70% of games you play! SORT IT OUT!

This game is an amzing concept poorly executed, the graphics are good, but everything else just doesnt work, the zombies are more able than you, and looting is 1/10 you drop into the game and are immediately hungry and thirsty. Unless you spawn in right after a server reset chances are you will die before you find food, this games needs to come a long way before it will be half as good as its contenders, which is such a shame. i would say save your money and buy something like the forest, miscreated or ark.
