This is truly a labor of love. They could of just done 1 game and sold the expansions as DLC, but they literally threw everything into one neat package. Being able to toggle between Remaster and original at the press of a button is also a nice touch. Nothing was left out. They even recreated the installer the first time you run the game. That is serious dedication.

If you ever enjoyed Symphony of the Night or the GBA sequels, this game is an absolute must get. If you only played other Metroidvaina games, it might come off as disjointed. You might not get the hype, and the gameplay might feel uneven or even out of date by modern standards. However it's still gives credit to it's predecessors that helped start the genre.

If you've never played Metroidvaina game, play at your own risk. The game can be difficult, especially since the game does not always directly tell you where to go, and exploring will require the use of abilities that can only be acquired from basic mobs, and even though their use may not be 100% obvious.

I was a backer for the Kickstarter, and I am satisfied with the final product. I look forward to all the future updates that will build on top of the replayability of the game.

Like Borderlands, but actually enjoyable if played alone. Levels can feel repetitive and some enemies are reskins of other enemies. But who cares. You'll be too busy slicing, shooting, and super powering to notice or care. The co-op is just and added bonus. Grab a friend and your favorite weapon and get ready to unleash to beast. Who wants some Wang.

This is the game that killed Battlefield 3 & 4 for me. Instead of scripted destruction peppered with minor property destruction, you have full blown destruction of buildings and roads. When you can drive a tank through a a building to destroy the payload or call in a mortar strike on a house and kill 5 people along with the payload.

The combat feels more intense and more interesting than the current Battlefield games. The single player campaign is also far more entertaining the generic COD clone that are found in the current games. Get the Vietnam DLC and you get a flamethrower, Hamburger Hill, Fortunate Son in the main menu and Rise of the Valkyries while you drive your flame thrower tank.

At first glance, most people would be put off by the low quality textures and the dated geometry, and the updates such was reflective water or light casting would not be enough to consider this a remaster.

But underneath all that is a true masterpiece lost to the ages and remembered only fondly of a bygone era in console gaming. At it's core, Turok is a FPS from a time when you could carry around enough weapons and ammo to arm a small country facing down an actual army of soldiers, dinosaurs, aliens, or soldiers riding dinosaurs with rocket launchers.

You'll quickly start to realize that what the game lacks in beauty, it makes up for in fierce combat. There is no hand holding here. No hiding until the booboos go away. Just you and the savagery of The Lost Lands.

Like any good table top game, it's ment to be played with friends. A streamlined, fast paced D&D inspired tatics dungeon crawl for hours on end.

Seriously, why is this not a real table top game?

What was apparently a flash game is now ported as a stand along game with pimped out upgrades in the vein of the Metal Slug games, only with an occasional giant wolf instead of an oddly designed tank. The combat is intense and the deliciously retro. It’s short, but oh so very sweet (and a pain at higher difficulties)

When a game's title is in all caps, you know it means business.

From the guy who made the world's longest interactive movie about why nukes are bad and the people who made a game about a witch that creates monsters with her hair while shooting angles, comes METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE (serious business).

Slash, sneak, slash some more, hide on a box then stab that guard in the back and steal his robot fluids. And chop off some hands too for reasons (Something, something Patriots). There are robots dinosaurs to fight, pissed off robot gorilla things that smash you into the ground, a robo-puppy with a chainsaw, a Brazilian samurai cyborg that sounds Mexican, oh and Metal Gear.

Seriously, stop reading this and get it already.

~THIS GAME IS NOT FOR EVERYONE~
Despite the crazy hype and controversy surrounding this game the only big playing points for getting this game is A) Multiplayer Mode and B) If you’re a big fan of the Aliens franchise. If neither interests you then this game is not for you.

The single player campaign is average at best, while co-op is slightly better (you still have AI teammates following you around to progress the story) and reminiscent of Left4Dead with xenomorphs instead of the undead. The story is weakest compared to other games in the franchise, which makes some changes to the Aliens storyline (Then again anything after Alien 3 is a sloppy mess). The upside is weapons, perks, and equipment you setup in multiplayer carry over into single player, making for more diverse gameplay.

Multiplayer is where the fun is at, wtih the many game modes that add all the excitment that the campaign is missing, with CoD style customized equipment loadout, perks, and weapon customization. But despite multiplayer being is greatest strength, it is also it’s undoing as finding a game can take a long time if at all, depending on how many people are on it.
