At first glance, Bastion boasts amazing art style. The gameplay looks somewhat interesting, and you might consider this game for your Steam Wishlist.
But then, once you have the game, Bastion assults your ears with an unforgettable soundtrack! Upon playing the first 5 minuets of the game, you hear a narrator giving a story monolouge to every action you take! Not only that, but the narrator has a voice in league with the Great Morgan Freeman!
The game's audio and video quality match those of many indie greats such as Braid or the Borderlands series. The storyline to back this game reveals itself like the ground coming up around you; the more you explore, the more you discover! By the time I Reached the end credits of this game, I was crying tears of sheer amazment and awe at the beauty of the world in which these events take place. And if that were not enough to draw you in, When you finish the game, you can relive every moment you loved with the New Game+ feature.
All around, Bastion is part interactive storybook, part RPG action adventure with dozens of Steam achievments and challenge areas that will have you playing this game over and over again. 10 out of 10 In my humble opinion. Adventure, beauty, action, costumizable weapons, secret skills, and a soundtrack that leaves you speachless. Not to mention a golden-voiced narrator, all of these await you in Bastion.
