I've only played a bit so far but I'm very impressed up to this point. I'm really enjoying proximity chat games these days. While AAA games keep getting worse and worse, passionate indie devs stay winning and I'm really happy about it.

The finals is an absolutely awesome game. Considering it is free, it is well worth trying it out. Fast pace gameplay with weapons that feel like they're ripped from the battlefield games of old.

The game suffers from the crappy modern monetization strategies that many other recent releases do, but there is still plenty to unlock without spending any money unlike games such as valorant where you need to spend money to feel like you're doing anything with all the experience you gain. The premium battlepass costs 10 bucks and there are a multitude of levels with tons of unlockables that feel like they are still worth it, even compared to the items in the in-game store. Delivering credit where it is due, the premium battlepass contains enough in-game currency to unlock the next battlepass as well at time of writing. I could see this changing in the future however.

Incredible game that is suffering horribly from botting issues that are being ignored by developer.

Guaranteed that you'll have some great clipable moments with friends if you can get consistent people on to play.

Game is a ton of fun but the monetization is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ just like way too many other modern games. Don't let yourself get sucked into to paying for much more than the game itself; if you decide to buy anything else at all.
