The car selection is mid and it generally has an air of "zoomer-pander" but it's a solid title that builds on everything Heat did well. On the hardest difficulty the racing is a healthy challenge and produces some white-knuckle moments that outshines the story's corniness.

If you don't instantly turn your nose up at Unbound, you'd probably enjoy the majority of a playthrough once you get the car's settings dialed in. I'd never suggest buying a game for a full $70, bc I will never do that for any game ever lmfao, but I paid $35 and I'm completely satisfied with it.

As someone who's been a Battlefield fan since 2004, this game is somewhat disappointing, and I'm not talking about bugs.

1. Generally, you'd think that being set in 2042 would come with more gameplay changes, but this really just feels like a gimped, reskinned version of BF4. BF1 proved that you can have BF feel distinct without feeling like a different franchise, but there's nothing of substance here.
I do criticize the changes they made later in this text, but it's not bc they changed it at all, it's bc I don't like HOW they changed it. Massive distinction there.

2. The maps have more players than ever, and yet, Conquest maps (the main game mode) feel emptier than ever before bc of how they changed it. I'm not opposed to changing a decades-long formula, but this is literally just not well designed. The 5 points have been replaced with 5 zones w/ 3 points each, but I think it's spreading the lobby too thin, so every point only has a handful of people on it.

3. I'm not even opposed to changing the class system, but the new system is confusing and more limiting than it was in BF4. In 4, you could combine different equipment together, but now, it's locked to specific specialists. Why? Does this actually improve anything?

4. I don't like the maps. I haven't played ALL of them, but the ones I've played feel like wide open fields with no central points. Even the new map is like this. I'll have to play more, but generally, I think they could use a lot of work. Even BF Portal's map selection isn't really to my taste, so I don't play that either (even if it is a faithful rendition of the games that it's paying homage to-nice job on that one, but I can still play the previous games thank god lol)

Overall, I think there really isn't a reason to buy this. It's expensive and doesn't feel like a finished product. As a longtime BF fan, I'm kinda disappointed, but it's EA, so I'm pretty used to it. Dice will probably fix it to be an overall fun game within a few years. Hell, they did that with BF4, and that game is fun as hell now. But as it stands, it's not worth 60 damn dollars lol.

the story isnt the best but idk i wasnt expecting shakespeare. its like a bad 80's action movie - its not the point.

the gunplay is tighter, and the loot is more varied and diverse. the world-hopping vibe is a lot of fun as well, with Promethia being the prettiest and Eden 6 being the best part of the game plot-wise.

It's fun. I like it. dunno lol, i recommend if you already like Borderlands.

Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and by no means is it definitive.

I feel like honest hearts is a bit lackluster compared to the other parts of FNV I've played. The story throws you into a situation that isn't as compelling with a lot of tribes that dont really do a whole hell of a lot, and arent that interesting past "raiders" and "calm hunters". Joshua Graham is interesting, but he also doesn't really do much and I only wound up talking to him like 3 times. I wish we could have seen New Canaan, and possible have prevented it's downfall depending on the player's actions, and I wish the tribes were more fleshed out. Also I got some of the best guns in the game in the span of 3 hours with extremely easy combat, and honestly that alone makes the DLC worth skipping since it made the rest of the game that much easier.

It's not b a d though. I had a good time, and there's some good story to be had with Randall Clark, but I couldn't find much about it and read it on the Wiki instead. I'd say the best thing about the game is how great Zion looks - Obsidian really nailed Utah here, and maybe its my texture pack, but I just love how it looks even more than the base game.

Overall, I'd rate it a low 6/10 and I'll be skipping it on my next playthrough. Just play OWB. Still recommending because it's New Vegas.

it takes a ♥♥♥♥ ton of tweaking to feel even usable and is quite finicky. Great modding community though. Can't recommend unless you're really into sims and are willing to work for that ass, and also have a wheel.
