Absolutamente incrível!

As soon as I saw this game on Steam I knew I had to buy it!
Reviewing is not my forte, so I'll just use the good ol' trusty method of going by its pros and cons:

Pros
-> This game is gorgeous.
The choice of pre-dated graphics was the main reason for me to buy it.

-> The story is silly, but fun.
That's what I'm always on the lookout for.

-> The game and characters designs are on point!
Having the elements it has, going with a cyberpunk setting was a godlike idea! It ties everything together without making it weird, so lots of extra credit there!

-> It plays really well!
Responsive controls and a nice camera angle, with satisfying weapon sound design to really make it perfect.

-> Nice soundtrack
Is there a way not to get your head in the game with this absolute JAM playing in the background? I'll be first in line to put this into my playlists if it ever hits Spotify.


Cons
-> Not very low-resolution friendly
This makes the game very hard. I'm not sure if this is the reason, but I own a 1360x768 monitor, which makes the in-game computer text really difficult to read, which pains me since I don't know what I'm buying from the store most of the time, having only the weapons and armors' names to go by.

-> A gamma option would be nice
Some places are very hard to see in, which is kinda the point, I get it. There's even a flashlight upgrade.
But the whole game overall seems to be darker than it should, even in places with their own light sources. I believe this might be due to a display issue of my own computer, so I'm not gonna criticize the game itself.

-> Default sound mixing is... weird.
As much as I love the music, it's not good when it's louder than all the other sounds the game has to offer.

-> The "intermission levels" did start to get a little boring when I got to my final run
This has to be my biggest problem with the game.
I mean the same old dark alleys between each of the five main checkpoints before each boss. They are a bit repetitive, so even though they have a nice lenght, it kind of turns me off each time I get to one of those sections. I'd say this can be "fixed" by adding one or two different level designs for said intermission levels. Though it is easier said than done.


Overall
I have high hopes for Fi da Puti Samurai! It can be a little rough around the edges, but it is still very easy to appreciate as it is. If the absolute final game update brings an ending to the game, with no adjustments whatsoever to any of the cons I stated, I would still keep it in my favorites, because that's just how good it is!
I'm very excited for the end product, and will see it through to the end.

TL;DR
If you're into the old school FPS genre, please consider giving it a try! Gotta love what's in the work here.
