I think this game needs some work. Not in graphics or design level—they are great. But from mechanics and level design.

Character stats are just weak, and when I say weak, I mean it. In my 8 hours of gameplay, I have stats at level 20. I don't know what the max is, but I spent a lot of time grinding to level them up—and they give almost nothing. I'm mostly talking about strength and haste. Strength should speed up your mana regen and give some more melee damage with staff, and I just don't see it. After grinding for about 3 hours, I don't see my mana regen speeding up. It's a broken stat, and with haste, it's a familiar story: it gives you spellcasting speed-up that is needed to cast more powerful spells. I have 25, and it speeds up a little, but for the work I put into it, it's not rewarding.

With exploration, it's the same story. I don't see a point in opening a chest when there's little to find. There are only 3 items (health shard, mana shard, defense shard) that you can buy, but seriously, I never did because near bonfires you find them in barrels. And you can only have 4 items per 1 item stack. There is no point to exploration really because you don't find anything, and if you do find something, it's nothing.

I like the design; it's cute. Also, there are fun details like her mouth moving like she's casting spells or some funny animations like when you run out of stamina, she trips XD. It is still a painful experience to play. Bosses are hard, and it's very hard to level up to match them. There should be a more minimalist stats system with stats that are really needed, or give some equipment to find to make gameplay more enjoyable. Anyway, I've had enough of this game. Good that it's on 50% discount because full price is not worth it. As I remember, on Switch it's for twice as much as on Steam—that's just too much for it.

Well, it is an indie game, but there are better games, and a good rival would be Dolls Nest.
