I'm putting this negative review as a place holder until they fix the issues on PC:
- Massive stutters in Raccoon City sections with mesh quality on standard
- no FOV slider (how did you miss this after RE4R?)
- no Dualsense support (haptic, adaptive trigger)
I'd recommend people that wants optimal experience with the game to wait for now until these jarring issues are fixed.

Draft of an actual review:
Requiem is a RE game that will pleases both the horror survival fans (RE0, 1, 2, 3, 7) and the action (RE4, 5, 6, 8) fans of this franchise.

Grace's section features the survival elements of collecting resources, inventory management and limited items with lots of scares. The map design is at its peak in her parts of the game. However, I have to comment on the lackluster parts of her gameplay which seem to has went over the heads of most reviews of this game, I guess these people are just new to the franchise??

Grace's gameplay consists of having just one main pistol, and the game's handcanon; requiem. This is a far-cry from other games in the franchise where our survivor's would have access to more satisfying arsenal such as shotgun, smg, etc. On top of that, the enemy variety here is none-existent, the supposedly innovative zombie personalities is nothing more than your usual zombies with a bit of a different pattern, I don't see why people are raving so much about this when it barely enforces you to apply different tactics, they're just zombies at the end of the day. Moreover, puzzles are also extremely simplified here, there is no need to decrypt anything or putting your brain to work, it is simply just find item in the next room and use it. Lastly, Grace has NO boss fight encounter in her section, the tension is greatly deminished here because of it. That's pretty much it for the survival gameplay in this game, go back and play any of the previous games and tell me I'm wrong.... go on. Her sections of the game only represents 1/3 of the whole game, did I mention that?

Now we move onto Leon's section, featuring combat heavy gameplay from RE4,5,6. The combat here is top-notch; while not as over the top with so much variety in movesets as RE6, the combat from RE4R has been refined and it is smooth as a baby's bottom. Leon's section have you brute-force through the enemies with more ammo you can use for a RE6 playthrough; the tension is not there as a result but like I said, the combat is fantastic here and you will get plenty of kicks from it, especially because his section makes up 2/3 of the game. You get a few boss fights that are fun but nothing special compared to what we have seen in the franchise. The maps became uninteresting in Leon's part, raccoon city is barren for obvious reasons and turned into nostalgia bait for the fans.

Those are what the game entrails and offers, here are some of my positives pointers on top of Leon's combat:
- Gorgeous graphics, runs well minus the on-going issues with certain settings
- Grace is a much better protagonist than Ethan, with personalities and character development
- Superb voice acting from all characters, althrough Grace's stutters were overcooked
- The villains are entertaining, save for a really cool new character that was cut short
- Great to have both survival and action in one game

Well this one surprised me.

Initially, I didn't enjoy the server slam all the much, but something was pulling me back in. The build customisation and the learning curve is why, this game is definitely for the sweatier players, you have to learn the loots and what works well for your play-style, there are many path you can take with your characters and you must engage with that aspect. In Arc Raiders, it is much simpler and you can do well with just about any setups with minimal effort; in this game loot matters, aim and movement matters, there is no third person peeking.

Losing loots in this game actually doesn't make you mad because the expectation is to go in ready to PVP, resulting in you expecting death; dying is so much less frustrating than in Arc Raiders for this reason.

PVE is another aspect that the game surprised me. Compared to Arc Raiders, I feel like this PVP focus extraction shooter actually has better PVE events during the match, there are puzzles, rooms to unlock, and crates to defend and loot. However PVE part lacks in interesting enemies, and of course you won't get the same server-wide coop with the players in this game.

With that said, if you're looking for classic Bungie PVP with learning curve of an extraction shooter to grind and get stronger, this is for you, just keep in mind that sweaty competitive aspect of it.

Excellent successor to SWAT 4, got me hooked for hours on end once I get the hang of the mechanics. However, I was tempted to hit not recommended just based on the fact that the developer went against some of their visions for the game's direction, and the fact that they have left the game with no update for over a year now and the radio silence doesn't help.

They did recently announced that a patch is "coming soon", not an impressive announcement, especially without a due date after this long of a gap.

Early Access Review
Absolute gem of a game, pushing ARPG forward by combining the precision and engaging combat of souls genre as well as interconnected map design in ARPG.

Top-tier graphics and animation work, this honestly looks like moving paint with Pixar-quality animation.

The story that is currently in the early access is captivating, it bends my favourite tones together from fantasy like LOTR and the grim power struggles from GOT. Perfect match.

I haven't dipped my toes in Coop that much yet but the implementation of persistent world is done really well and is unique. As long as you are included in a server, you can go in and out to make progressions, be on any part of the map seperately, and catch up on the story progression you may have missed. It's fantastic for people that can't manage schedule play-sesh. Scaling also works by proximity so if you are far away from teammates with no help, the game will scale to single player balancing.

I'm super excited for 1.0 with the continuation of the story and 2-3 times more content as the devs communicated. That is substantial amount of content still to be release as the current state of early access has kept me occupied for 30+ hours and I'm not even done with the available content yet.

Update: I gave the game a fair chance by playing several matches and I will say; there are enjoyment to be had with the combat and the raiding part of the match, but as i said, it is serverely under cooked and the performance is unacceptable. It will need substantial updates to turn things around, but there is potential there.

The performance is still trash, in firefights the fps chucks and it's hard to aim well, even top aimers like shroud struggles.

The 5v5 update is so much better, team fights are longer and more exciting, combat is the fun part of this game. The TTK is good and it allows you to retaliate rather than the twitch style shooters of who shot first. If you enjoy apex TTK then you will feel right at home.

I changed my review to recommenended but it's still a hard recommend in this condition. I suspect many players with lower end PC will struggle to enjoy the game given how my rather powerful rig struggles with maintaining frames during fights. However the devs are putting out fixes at good pace and I will continue to follow this game for now.

This is such an under cooked game, terrible performance, terrible graphics, boring map designs and 3v3 players? no way they thought that was a good idea. Only one game mode at release btw.

You run around this empty map with nothing interesting other than to farm gem for the trade shop, and what does the trade shop has? just armours and weapons.

On top of all this, the graphic looks like blurry mess and I can only get 90fps on my 9070xt and it feels way worse than actual 90fps for some reasons. Also has ZERO upscaling tech from neither Nvidia or AMD implemented, that's crazy. How can you create a PVP shooter and have it this unoptimised.

They need to fix the performance first and foremost because right now, with the jittery mess it is, it's hard to enjoy.

Rest In Pieces. They did not fix the performance issues and the contents weren't there until the very end.

This game is turning the many extraction shooter haters around, so what is it doing right?? I got to try the server slam after missing the previous play tests and came out craving for more despite having no desire to play these fairly new genres of game (extraction shooter, battle royale)

Graphics:
- Fantasic, nothing mindblowing but the vistas and the world is full of details. The world design is top-notch and somehow, embark puts triple A developers to shame with the optimisation. This game proves UE5 engine can perform well if only the developers actually put effort into it rather than using asset flip and leave it at that. My 9070XT easily runs this game maxed out at 1440p 140+ fps.

Gameplay:
- Addicting and accessible. Solo player gets matched with mostly other solos, squad fights against squad.
- Movement and combat feels incredibly smooth, the gun-play is punchy.
- Arcs AI are relentless, they're no mere bots that acts brainless and robotic.
- The mechanics of the game are precise, everything is tactical and you must play like a survival game, this is not run and gun.
- Plenty of progressions for you to grind that requires you to be smart rather than just putting in the hours for the sake of grinding. Blueprints, meaning loots, crafting, upgrading. It's not just loot and fill your stash, every item serves a purpose.

Sound:
- Top tier, this is made by former developers of battlefield 3-1 and it deafens you. The world sounds alive, guns echoes in enclosed space and travels across the map. Nothing like being in the thick of it and feeling like you're actually there on a battleground, any fans of the good old days of BF know what it's like.

All of the above merged into an immersive multiplayer experience that got me super hooked. I didn't understand the hype at first, after a few hours into the server slam, I knew I can't wait to get more of this

Awesome app and very fair price!! Just keep in mind that it won't magically make your game super smooth with the frame gen features (now up to x4 frames!), you do need to have quite abit of overhead for your performance or else it will not be that responsive. E.g. your base frame in game is 50fps, the app will impact the performance further and drop it down depending on the power of your gpu, so in my case i would drop about 10fps from base and then the frame gen feature would double that, but of course reduce base frames would mean reduce responsiveness, so just keep that in mind; if your base frame is higher like 60+ then the perceived lag would be minimised.

Overall I'm really happy with this app, since not many games have frame gen support yet and this app is just invaluable in those cases.
