This game is addictive please send help

Eh.. i'm on the fence about this one. It's a fairly decent roguelite that's fun to play with friends (or randos even) but isn't great by itself, and regardless of either it gets boring pretty quick. it doesn't feel like it has that much content. and the difficulty levels greatly outpace your own power progression.

my recommendation is to wishlist it for a future sale after they add more stuff to the game.

pretty fun rogue-lite in a market that's becoming pretty saturated with them. it's a bit bare for now but worth checking out, especially on sale.

If you loved the original game you'll love this. It's essentially the same game, with nice updated graphics, and is overall very polished. The devs have been adding new campaigns and game modes, and is one of the few examples of a remake that completely obsolesces the original- there's no reason not to get this version if you want to play it.

This game has a constant issue where it won't launch- i dunno if it's Windows 11 or what (my other games all work fine with it including RE7 & 8 and the 2 & 3 remakes) but the game constantly won't load its application window after you launch it. Steam will see it as running and you can see the process in the Task Manager but there's no application to interact with. There aren't any real fixes for this- you can temporarily get around it by deleting some of the .dlls in the game directory and forcing a validation, but it keeps returning for me, and of course I've already played it too many hours to be applicable for a refund.

Beyond the game not even starting, honestly it's not even that great- I'm a fan of the original RE4 but they changed A LOT in this remake, and most of it was completely unnecessary. In particularly almost every character is worse than their OG version, particularly Ashley and Luis. Man, they really did Luis dirty in this remake with how they portray him. Griping about what's been changed aside, the game does play well. I would at least wait for a 75% off sale before I recommend it.

i bought this game on sale mostly for the lulz, and yeah.. it's pretty bad. half the game is watching the dumb cutscenes in between each mission. and yeah, the token diversity hire characters are a thing, along with the cringe writing that always accompanies it, although it's honestly not that bad. what bothered me more than anything is the baffling distribution of weapons and attachments distributed throughout the game with no regard to the time or place they would been actually been found. japanese soldiers dropping STG44 rifles with optics on them in a pacific battle that took place in 1943? sure, why not. this game takes a fat steaming dump on any sort of historical accuracy
