I really tried to like this game, but after a year of mediocrity I've run out of hope. The brain dead ai cannot put up any semblance of a challenge but at the same time the civs are leaders are too over tuned to translate well into multiplayer. Map gen is still bad even after targeted attempts to fix it with unbalanced starts being frequent in multiplayer even with a setting to prevent it. it's way too easy to spawn trapped in the corner or on a small island.

War is really fun and probably my favourite part of the game but it probably only makes up about 20-30% of the the gameplay the rest is left to mindlessly mashing the end turn button as you scale out of control with minimal effort.

I feel with many strategy games these days they might not start off the best but I feel they have a good foundation. I do not feel this way with Civ 7. The game has bad bones and I don't think they'll be able to salvage it without seriously reconsidering the structure of the entire game. I hope Civ 7 can turn itself around I just don't have it in me to believe it.

Listened to our feedback and made a great game. Hope we don't have to deal with this again

I think I like horror now

Within the last 2 hours of game time I've managed to:
Seduce an Ogre
Start a civil war
Receive brain surgery from a poet
Eat several dozen brain worms
Kiss a lizard
Now if you'll excuse me I need to get back to the game.

Very happy to make the jump back to fantasy. I've enjoyed it a lot so far can't wait to keep playing.
