I have 600+ hours in this game on PS5. It is probably one of my favorite games of all time and definitely is my favorite in the souls series (which is probably controversial but whatever).

I feel the worldbuilding is strongest and most compelling in ER compared to other FromSoft titles and that isn't even the thing that keeps me coming back. I just love how this game allows you to make your own difficulty by choosing how you engage with the systems within it. You also have the ability to respec, which is HUGE, and builds are fun and varied.
Also love that the world is MASSIVE but 99% of it is optional and some of it is downright miss-able. I recently discovered a catacomb I had *never* seen before despite all my time in this world.

Elden Ring has an obvious audience of people who already enjoy the souls games but I think this is a game where anyone who has an interest in it should try. Because, frankly, if you're really bad at the genre this is one of the few soulslikes where certain things are so powerful they can carry you through and nearly anyone can enjoy it. And it goes both ways, people who wanna make life Hell for themselves can simply not engage with any of the helpful stuff and wallow all they want in their suffering.

I could write many paragraphs about how much I love every aspect of this game but I think I've said the things I find most important. (and no one would read all that.)

10/10 in visuals, gameplay, soundtrack, basically everything I can think of. I have so few complaints.
