It's very frustrating, but it's pretty good.
A few tweaks and improvements and it would be VERY good.

Had a lot of fun with it.
it's like one of those games that shows a lot of promise and someday might be good with enough updates. except every update actually makes it worse.

Early Access Review
"ARK: Survival Ascended includes access to all of ARK’s worlds, including Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, ARK Genesis Part 1, ARK Genesis Part 2, and more. The Island, Scorched Earth, Aberration and The Center are released now, Extinction will be released on December 16, with the subsequent expansion worlds to be added at no additional cost on a regular basis."

This is a lie. Subsequent expansion worlds were added at additional cost.

Bought this under the assumption they would honor what they said, but this is just a companies attempt to squeeze the wallets of their fans.

Absolute trash.

Since its steam launch The game has had lots of issues. Performance has been a problem. They've been fixing problems, but also popping up new ones with each patch. Currently not able to open the game.

Leaving the review as positive, but they really need to get things together. The game is amazing. the content release schedule is difficult to keep up with because it seems to want to release on a similar schedule as their other big gacha game, Love & Deepspace, but Infinity Nikki content is more immersive and takes longer to appreciate and enjoy. This is my favorite gacha game, but also the play style makes it one that I personally find hard to play in small bursts, usually by the time I'm done with dailies I won't have much time left for other content.

Definitely play through, the world content and persistent patch content is really good. They're also slowly adding in more great multiplayer features.

They are trying several new things with this iteration of the game. Some of them feel really good, some of them feel pretty bad. the age progression is hot garbage. it's not the worst idea, and I suspect they'll be able to smooth it out eventually. But simply changing ages can make or break a civilization. Being poised to take out dozens of island towns at the end of an age only to start the next age with literally 0 naval ships is moronic. Me being able to instantly destroy another civilization at the start of an age when he could have defended my attacks near indefinitely makes no sense. The age up process is a gamble about how much the game helped you or screwed you. half your buildings instantly no longer functioning is stupid. The age up process sort of feels like the end of a game of Mario Party. they just start throwing stars at everyone and nobody knows who will actually come out on top. The advantages you can start the next age with have nothing to do with properly playing the game, instead you have to focus on whatever quest they laid out. Trying to do a cultural victory so you want to maintain a small but peaceful civilization? get ready for a dark age after age 2, because you can't do that and succeed. Have the absolute best economy in age 2? too bad, you didn't make the right types of ships. Literally kill everyone on your own continent? doesn't matter, you've actually made 0 progress, welcome to the dark ages because you didn't play militaristically enough.
The whole quest system used for grading your success in nonsensical.
Age 2 relying almost entirely on getting enough science to travel deep water safely harms everyone who didn't focus science disproportionatly.
For a game that has traditionally tried to tie mechanics and progression to some sense of real world historical progression, the transitions are laughable and an utter failure to reflect anything that makes any sense.
The ages to seem to all play alright within themselves. the game almost feels like a best 2 out of 3 match of 3 distinct games.

Don't lose track of any units, this game features no way to find them other than manually scouring the map. a feature that feels so basic in a game which has a large component of the gameplay being military conquest that it's shocking for it to be missing.

Game closes randomly. Not very fun launching the game and reloading into zones constantly.

My computer exceeds all the max specs for the game, but it crashes regularly. Today it even crashed at the login screen.

The game also changed my control scheme and reset all my settings and keybindings.

A guildmate sent me guild currency to buy guild tabs but the website wouldn't allow me to accept it because it says I don't have any characters or a guild (even though the website still shows the message that they sent me the currency.

As far as the gameplay goes, I've played on Warrior and Witch. Can you guess which one is always out of mana? That's right, the witch barely ever taps into her mana, the warrior just guzzles the stuff. Class design isn't great. Warrior combos are extremely fickle and leveling up or being in a group can break them quickly. The warrior is a bad class. it does what other classes do, but you're in more danger and you do it worse. It is nonsensical that the warrior class is such a huge mana spender. The way defenses work it's not really all that much beefier than other classes either. Overall it's lousy design.

Really bad experience all around.

An excellent platformer puzzle game. Pico Park 2 builds on what they started with Pico Park and adds tons of fun and frustrating gameplay. The levels/puzzles adjust to your group size so its a fun experience whether you have 8 or 2 players. It takes a bit to get used to the slightly changed controls from the first game, but the second adds a lot of functionality and is a solid choice.

This is a really great teamwork game. Overall most of the roles feel very unique and different player skillsets will excel in different tasks. The talent system is a great addition and is perfect for allowing players to choose what sort of cross-training their character has.
I think the structure of the game really allows for a lot of gameplay tastes/styles to play together.

The game has a TON of great concepts. The parkour stuff is nice. But the game has night time missions which are basically impossible to play because of the update to volatiles. As soon as we open the doors to go outside there are 5 volatiles trying to pounce us. We've died to hordes of volatiles rushing us in safe zones where we aren't even allowed to have our weapons out to defend ourselves.

Lots of frustrating things about the game could be overlooked. and I'm sure the insane number of volatiles is great if you're advanced and in end-game gear. but basically more than half the game is completely unplayable because of the volatiles patch.
