Early Access Review
This game is a competitor to Valheim. With that being said, I have plenty of hours in both to provide a fair comparison.

The hours may not be a lot, but as of currently there is simply not enough content to justify much more than what I have whilst leaving this review, 40 hours of playtime.

CONS:
This game has massive performance issues for Radeon Graphics Drivers. I have a Radeon 6700 XT. I have to run the game on medium settings in order to achieve a playable frame rate. Meanwhile Valheim is playable at Max settings.

Runescape: Dragonwilds is in beta, so give this review a grain of salt or look baack at it after a few months so that developers can hash out bugs and performance issues.

Many of the open world elements are out-shined by the lack of terrain manipulation or procedural generation which can be found in Valheim. Combat is very bad and parrying is extremely buggy and unrewarding. Stamina is a huge issue and I find myself creating foods out of habit from Valheim's play style they leave me needing more ward stones & health potions.

Magic and Archery are entirely useless, the trailer seems misleading as the bear minimum of these 2 out of the 3 play styles are supposed to be fleshed out. Meaning CO-OP with friends is simply Max Melee Armor, & Melee Weapons Exclusively. Since skills in those branches do not provide any unique abilities.

Single player is NOT pausible. This is ridiculous and anyone who likes playing one life runs will be disappointed when they come back from the bathroom to see that their base and body are gone.

Spells and Magic are Limited including certain runes that are unable to be used. (Water Rune) Also major enemies do not drop any valuable resources, meaning fighting them is entirely optional making it feel unrewarding and counterproductive to the entire premise of the game.

Go to this location ---> Get this whilst avoiding enemies. While it should be Go to this location ---> Kill these guy's ---> To Get this Item.

Also reused enemies and item drops in multiple locations provides little reason to go back, or even certain locations providing single key better resources that defeat the purpose of progressing. IE, Flax for course thread. Being found everywhere instead of being cultivated in a single Area.

Lastly, building is great however limited in options. It is too difficult to get Oak for building Tier 2 Structures. Raids are also very annoying and lackluster, defenses are not required, and honestly worse having up then nothing being built at all.

PROS:
Early Access, meaning you can expect more updates, Valheim is wrapping up soon meaning the excitement of potential biomes is slowly fading.

The visuals are beautiful however, due to the graphics settings being so demanding I cannot guarantee this.

Art style and enemy attacks are unique and interesting.

DO I recommend? AS of right now, No.

Game has no room for new players. Community is now toxic and overun with weirdo's. Servers are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and only saving grace is the occasional update.

As much as this game hits, it wont last. I feel that this game along with others follows the same formula of "tactical shooter" that is true to that, with weapon customization and well done animations that make you feel like a "tactical operator". Problem is a majority of these games such as Zero Hour, Ready or Not, and even Ground Branch are examples of these early access tactical games. They all share something in common with 5K, great game play but no content. I find it really hard to believe that we as a community are going to receive content that is as detailed and immersed as Area 12 consistently. Whilst other levels such as "radio station" being among one of them. The fan base wants more facilities and environments like Area 12. Problem is how many "Sites" & "SCP's" can you cram in before you run out of ideas. 3 or 4 levels at max? By then other games such as the ones I listed might receive mod support. Then what? We will be waiting years for another map, before then the game simply is not worth the money now especially as we wait to see which direction SCP: 5K takes, will it be radio station shooters? Or the perfect MTF simulator. We will just have to wait and see.

Tried playing this game, its just boring, I don't really know how to put it, I have a decently well built system and the game simply cannot run it smoothly, Radeon 6700XT, Ryzen 7 2700x, Corsair 8x2 3200 Mhz. I have played plenty of story telling open world games, and unfortunately this one simply has not intrigued me enough to confidently say, anybody should play it. Its a roller coaster that is unpolished, laggy, buggy, and horrible. If you are the type of person that wants to go for an efficient run, 100% completion, or achievement marathon I highly doubt that this game would be for you. You will most likely spend more time restarting missions, or Ctrl Alt F4ing your way out as it crashes and freezes up on you. As well as the disgusting "content" DLC withhold for this new year by Project Red which is such a betrayal of the fan base if you expect updates that bring new content and or polish up the game, you will be disappointed. One last thing that I should bring up before probably uninstalling this waste of $60 dollars and SSD space, is that the grim bleak "futuristic" game is truly disappointing and depressing. The amount of adult content scattered everywhere is truly disgusting, Processed foods, brothels, perverted robodocs, prostitutes, strip clubs, homelessness, drug abuse, the game has it all, and its accurate. Sadly its too disturbing and quite frankly polluted, it is everywhere no matter were you look.

I have a Radeon 6700 XT, Ryzen 7 2700x, 16gb of 3200 Corsair Ram. My boot drive is a PRO NVME Samsung 250gb drive. The other one for games and such is a EVO 1TB. Heres the thing, my PC is perfectly fine, I run windows 10 Home edition. Yet for some reason, this piece of CR*P "engine" doesnt work. Half of the wallpapers stop working after alt-tabing from a game. The engine itself has caused corrupted files in my system. All Together, this has been a horrible experience. The engine forces me to manually start it up after every night. Regardless of the function of "Automatic prioritize startup" also the wallpaper messes with your backlights and LEDS, obviously depending on the wallpaper your LED's will also change color depending on the creator, but the engine itself freezes your LED lights randomly. Not to mention the PC performance impact you get for simply having it. You'll lose 20-40 frames if you run it on even low settings. This program is so bad, that the only reason people are hyping it up, it because of the variety of backgrounds that you can get that are right there at your fingertips, not to mention the community. This community is full of anime p*rnofnatics. Its cringe, and sad. No amount of words can describe how upset I am with this engine. I dont understand why I used it for so long. Maybe thats why it had positive rep? Buyers remorse? Anyways dont but this garbage bloatware buy a big mac or something, anything than this.

This game is AMAZING. The art style, gameplay, perspective, the objective of the game. It is all so refreshing, its a cocktail of Rimworld, Minecraft, Valheim, and to top it all off has the art style of Runescape. This game is honestly phenomenal and the road map is promising. The first game in a while that gets you addicted for the first few days. Its a game that had made me actually invested. I have thousands of hours on a plethora of games and I can tell you this one will not be any different. The amount of content in this game currently may seem disappointing but I assure you, all it takes is a few hours to see what challanges lay ahead of you. The amount of goals that you will wish to achieve can vary from making a Castle, Walls, underground cellar for your food, a Church or a temple, huts, and underground catacombs are just a few ideas. I will admit though within my 50 hours I have not gone blind to its problems. Currently there are quite a few bugs but they are extremely minor and you will not break the game. Some include performance on 3x speed, settlers not moving to assigned positions, doors not closing properly. These are easily fixable by a simply exit and relaunch. But you most likely wont notice them for how many other things that require your attention such as the state of your people potentially rebelling, the furniture you have them lay in, the food that they eat, the work that they do. All of these tiny things matter in the large scale of things, its amazing how well it all lays together. I promise you, you wont regret buying this game, heck for all we know it might go up in price as the time goes by for how great of a game it is.
