Bad game, great TV show. No regrets buying it.

I played for 5 hours and didn't get one SHAW!

I can't recommend buying this game due to lack of SHAW.

Edited review: after 90 more hours of no shaw, I've given up hope. I'll settle for Hornet back-hands instead.

I haven't spent much time yet, but what I've seen so far looks exactly what I would have hoped for this series to be ported to PC. If you've played the Advance Collection, it's exactly the same quality, but 3 more great games.

I have been gaming since the 80s. There's over 1000 games in my Steam account alone. Elden Ring is the best game I have ever played. If you're on the fence about getting it, just buy it. It's better than anything else you could buy.

I'm going to keep this brief, but Path of Exile is hands down, the best action RPG you will ever play...

...After you get over the initial shock of seeing the skill tree.

If it's your first time playing, just remember the INT skills are at the top, the STR skills are at the bottom left, and the DEX skills are at the bottom right (your stat readout is set up to reflect this). You don't need to worry about the INT part of the tree if you want to swing your axes better, and you don't need to worry about going STR for making your spell casting better. There's always exceptions, but you don't need to know about those yet.

If you're still lost, just remember everyone hates their first character. Find a guide online to learn the ropes, and don't worry about getting to the "maps" part of the game. That's post-game content. Just have fun with experimenting.

Aside from all those tips, I have to say this game never feels like a free to play game. The game content is SOLID. At this stage, it feels more complete than Diablo 2 with its expansion included. Until I played this game, I never felt the desire to buy cosmetic microtransactions, but this game makes me want to just out of loyalty and appreciation for giving away such a masterpiece for free.

You really have to hand it to a game that was made in a time where it was OK for a logo screen to kill the viewer in self defense.

Many things about Turok 2 have not aged well, but this remade did its best to make sure newcomers can have fun without the nostalgia glasses on. I'm just amazed that so much effort was put into what could have been a lazy port. All the grapihcs look like high-res N64 models, but the rest of the graphics engine has been updated to allow motion blur and self-shadows on the characters. It's like running Zelda OoT in the 3ds version engine - you have the poor graphics in a powerful engine that makes the lighting and special effects look so much more realistic. Actually, it's probably better than that on a technical level.

So far, I've only made it as far as the first checkpoint portal, and I'm completely 100% satisfied with the game. Maybe that will change further into my playthrough, but this is more than I could have hoped for in a "port"

The negative reviews are overblown. It's not a product anyone should be proud of releasing, but it still plays just fine for me.

If you're a fan, or think you might become one, there's nothing stopping you from having fun here. The game runs just fine for me (for as far as I've gotten, at least), so this isn't broken on some technical level. The resolution and frame rate should be better, because there is no good excuse for it to not be, but I won't condemn it on those grounds alone. Given the choice of playing this or setting my old consoles, I'm content with this. Dealing with setting up my old machines is a pain in the rear. I'm using a PS4 controller with Inputmapper, so as long as I have that set up, I don't think it will feel any different than going through the work of setting my old consoles up.

If you consider yourself to be highly conscious of the game industry and its faults, I'd recommend waiting for a sale on this one. This kind of sloppy laziness probably shouldn't be rewarded with a full price purchase. I personally bit that bullet because I liked the first disk on the Gamecube and never got around to finishing it. I also needed to see for myself how "bad" the game was, because the complaints seemed a bit... obsessive... A broken, buggy and unplayable game is one thing, a game with bad story or gameplay mechanics is another, and then there is this game where I have seen neither (yet).

Anything positive that I had to say about the first game has been outdone by Grimrock 2. I'm currently 14 hours in, and I'm having a blast. If you've never played the first, you owe it to yourself to do so if you are a classic RPG fan. I don't even mean RPGs with this style of grid-based movement, I mean RPGs like Morrowind or Baldur's Gate.

I never got into the oldschool games like Eye of the Beholder because they were too abusive, and I didn't have the patience back then. Grimrock respects you and lets you have some breathers after those tough and costly battles. Grimrock also handles its hunger system well, because you will never die from starvation, you just lose you ability to self heal.

My only real nit-pick right now is that the puzzles have been a bit on the easy side. Grimrock 1 had some of the best puzzles I've seen in a game, where they made you feel smart for figuring out the vague hints they gave you (like the Checkered Room). Grimrock 2 just hasn't had those kind of puzzles yet. Maybe I need to get in further, but even if I never get what I'm looking for, I don't mind. I'm already planning my party for my second playthrough.

I got two copies of this game for free with my new video cards, and I feel ripped off.

I would not recommend this on a $2 sale.
