I played the Advance Collection and Dominus Collection back to back and all games here are great.

Dawn of Sorrow is probably the most "SOTN-style" out of the three in terms of structure. Here's your castle, do your stuff. Though I'd rate it the weakest out of the three mainly because exploration doesn't really reward you with new weapons since you now have to upgrade your weapons by using souls you find which means you might have to grind. Also I thought the castle design itself was much weaker than in Aria of Sorrow. Still it's overall great.

Portrait of Ruin might actually be my favorite out of the three for the sheer variety of weapons, spells and also diverse areas. Charlotte and Jonathan are also very likable characters. The structure is a bit different here since you only have a rather small castle but also portrait worlds to explore. It feels more linear but I felt it was the most "fun" to just play.

Order of Ecclesia is even more different than the others and sometimes feels like a mix between Classicvania and SOTN-style since you don't have a full castle to explore until close to the end but rather areas that feel more like stages from Classicvania games in structure. Though level design was sometimes hit and miss in my opinion. The glyph system I enjoyed a lot. Makes combat more interesting than just picking the strongest weapon. The story here felt quite different in vibe, especially coming from Portrait of Ruin. Shanoa is a great character. I think it's the second best game in the collection but there were many moments where I considered it to be the best.

Haunted Castle Revisited I only played the first stage because Classicvanias aren't really for me but it was actually very enjoyable so great for classic fans.

Great collection of games. Well worth playing.
