We met up once in person. I was very excited to see my friend irl. We were planning on meeting in a very popular restaurant in my home state of South Carolina. The restaurant was very crowded, however. I was having trouble finding him despite his exceptional height. Suddenly, I saw a tall brown-haired fellow from across the room! "There's my buddy!" I thought to myself. I approached and put my hand on what I thought was my friend's shoulder. To my dismay, this person turned out to be an awkwardly shaped lesbian. I apologized and continued on my quest.
