Imagine, if you will, the goofiest thing you've ever seen.

Firstly, consider me excited as a huge fan of audiosurf!

Controls definitely need work though, they're a bit janky in their current state. I also found that the gameplay was a bit hard to grasp, a bit unsatisfying as well? Switching between the combat modes isn't exactly enjoyable when the sword kills all vertical momentum, and i found that the treble bombs were useless with a majority of the music i was listening to. There also isn't much satisfaction to destroying the enemies, they just kinda die.

With using your own music being the focus, its inclusion is here is lackluster. It feels a lot less like my music was truly defining the gameplay and more like something that was just happening in the background, at times being inconvenient with my playlist being very varied in genre/pacing. Obviously this game will work better with EDM and heavy bass rather than classical or even certain pop songs, but with music being the focus overall i feel that it should work with anyone's tastes and choice of tunes.

Visually, its neon. VERY neon. It took a moment to get used to, but i did understand what was happening after a song or two flying around.

There is something here, and i trust the dev to work out the kinks. Give it a try, see what you think, i'm excited for the full release.
