Game-ban / Developer imposed ban from "Rust"
- What I believe caused the ban: Easy Anti-Cheat detected my Logitech Gaming Software running while playing Rust.
To enlighten you about how EAC works
https://www.easy.ac/en-us/support/rust/account/bans/
--2nd Paragraph "How can I ensure I don't get banned for cheating?"
it states "For Rust, the usage of any third-party tools designed to use macros in game are explicitly considered as cheating." And the official Logitech Gaming Software is designed to configure keybinds change settings and dpi etc, as well as "macros" which is unfortunately...considered a "cheat" by EAC.
So having LGS running on the background while I was playing rust triggered my game-ban from EAC.
Game-bans are NOT VAC-bans (https://v1.steam.hlxgame.cc/discussions/forum/9/620712364027233611/) refer here
P.S I've sent an appeal to EAC support and hopefully they can review my case as it's quite ridiculous to get banned for using "official" gaming software.
